The Lilypad’s Jams soundtrack from Disney’s Hollywood Studios is streaming now, but the Taylor Swift instrumental from Toy Story 5 stays on the ride. Here’s the full track list.
You can finally take Toy Story Land’s new spinning-ride music home with you. Well, most of it.
“Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams” is now streaming on Spotify and Apple Music, BlogMickey and WDW News Today reported Friday, Oct. 30. The Walt Disney Records album has nine songs and runs just under 18 minutes. Its full title ends with “(From ‘Pizza Planet’),” a nod to the famous restaurant from the movies.
There’s one big thing missing. “Noticeably absent is the instrumental version of ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ by Taylor Swift,” WDW News Today wrote. That song still plays on the ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. BlogMickey says it stays exclusive to the attraction “for now.”
Here’s a ride-through set to “Buzz Beats!” from UltimateDisneyCruiseLineFan 03:
What songs are on the Lilypad’s Jams album?
Here’s the track list, in order:
“You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” Jamison Ross
“Spin It Back (Lilypad),” Cora Castle
“Partysaurus Rex Anthem,” Desz
“We Belong Together,” Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph and John Michael Rouchell
“Pizza Planet Promo,” Gleedsville
“I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away,” John Michael Rouchell
“Woody’s Roundup Remix,” John Michael Rouchell
“Hay Un Amigo En Mi,” Pablo Amat
“Buzz Beats!,” Christoph Andersson
The songs were recorded with musicians in Nashville in pop, country, EDM and alt-rock styles, Laughing Place reported.
When does the Taylor Swift song play on Alien Swirling Saucers?
At random. The instrumental version of “I Knew It, I Knew You” isn’t part of the ride’s regular song order, BlogMickey reported, and it wasn’t in Disney’s song announcement either.
That makes it a fun surprise for riders. Cast members have reportedly said it may come up once or twice an hour, but that hasn’t been confirmed by Disney.
The song is from Toy Story 5. Swift wrote and produced it with Jack Antonoff, and it came out June 5, 2026, Disney said. It plays over the film’s end credits.
“It’s incredible just how meaningful it’s been having Taylor write and perform this song,” director Andrew Stanton said in Disney’s announcement.
Disney hasn’t said why the Swift track was left off the ride album.
Who is Lilypad from Toy Story 5?
Lilypad is a new character in Toy Story 5, which hit theaters June 19, 2026, and Disney+ on Sept. 23. Disney describes her as “a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet,” voiced by Greta Lee in the movie.
In the film, she becomes Bonnie’s new favorite toy. At the park, a big Lilypad sits in a flowerbed outside Alien Swirling Saucers and acts as the ride’s DJ. She introduces songs, runs a drawing game and character puzzles, and plays “home videos,” like Forky’s wedding.
Her full loop of activities runs about 32 minutes, WDW News Today reported.
Toy Story 5 brings back Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz, and it adds Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants, a toilet-training tech toy. Between songs, Lilypad even shows guests a text thread with Smarty Pants.
When did Alien Swirling Saucers get new music?
The Lilypad’s Jams overlay debuted Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, two days after Toy Story 5 landed on Disney+. It added Lilypad, the new songs and interactive games to the ride, which first opened with Toy Story Land on June 30, 2018.
“We wanted to think about the music in a completely new way,” Walt Disney Imagineering senior creative producer Thomas Niederhiser said, as quoted by Laughing Place. He said the team wanted songs that are “singable, sincere and a little cheesy.”
Geoff Line, an Imagineering senior story lead, put it this way: “We played with these toys as kids. Now we get to play with them as Imagineers.”
Is holiday music coming to Alien Swirling Saucers?
Yes. Festive Lilypad songs start Wednesday, Nov. 4, WDW News Today reported, and Laughing Place says four holiday tracks will be added this season.
The ride has a 32-inch height requirement, so most little ones can spin along.
