What is Banana Ball?
Baseball with a lot more fun. Jesse Cole created Banana Ball, and the Savannah Bananas made it famous with dancing players, trick plays and nonstop entertainment.
The game has its own rules. Games have a two-hour time limit, and every inning is worth a point. If a fan catches a foul ball, the batter is out.
Players dance, do flips and have even pitched on stilts. Cole’s motto for the sport is simple: “Fans First.”
Why is Banana Ball so popular?
It’s built for families. Games move fast, the players interact with the crowd, and there’s always something silly happening on the field.
That has helped Banana Ball sell out stadiums across the country. Having it at Disney World makes it an easy add-on to a family vacation in April, when many schools have spring break.
