Three Magic Kingdom table-service restaurants have new menu items, from lobster mac at Be Our Guest to a shrimp wedge salad at The Plaza and lasagna at Tony’s Town Square.
Magic Kingdom’s sit-down restaurants just shook up their menus.
New dishes arrived at Be Our Guest Restaurant, The Plaza Restaurant and Tony’s Town Square Restaurant on Friday, Oct. 16, WDW News Today and MickeyBlog reported.
Magic Kingdom is famous for snacks like Dole Whip, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls and Mickey pretzels, MickeyBlog noted. These are for the days your feet need a break and a real chair.
Prices weren’t listed in either report, so check the menu in the My Disney Experience app before you book.
Here’s a recent look inside Be Our Guest, from Theme Park Family Worldwide:
What’s new at Be Our Guest Restaurant?
Three dishes, according to WDWNT:
Beef Bourguignon en Croute, slow-cooked beef with potatoes, root vegetables, smoked bacon and bone marrow
Truffle Pomme Frites, with Parmesan cheese and black garlic-truffle aioli
Lobster Macaroni au Gratin, with sauce Mornay
That lineup leans hard into French comfort food, which fits a restaurant inside the Beast’s castle.
What is Be Our Guest Restaurant?
It’s the Beauty and the Beast restaurant in Fantasyland, built inside the Beast’s castle. It opened in 2012 as part of New Fantasyland and has dining rooms themed to the ballroom, the West Wing and the Rose Gallery.
It’s one of the hardest reservations to get at Magic Kingdom, so new menu items will only add to the demand.
The restaurant is also known for its grey stuff dessert, a nod to the movie’s big dinner number. The new lobster mac has some famous company.
What’s new at The Plaza Restaurant?
A Chilled Shrimp Wedge Salad with a hard-boiled egg, avocado puree, tomatoes, cracked pepper and Thousand Island dressing, WDWNT said.
The Plaza also has a new Steamboat Willie Milk Shake, which WDWNT has already reviewed. The Plaza is known for its sundaes and shakes, so a Mickey-themed shake is right at home.
Steamboat Willie, the 1928 short that made Mickey a star, still shows up everywhere at Disney. The original cartoon entered the public domain in 2024, but Disney’s black-and-white Mickey hasn’t gone anywhere in the parks.
The restaurant sits at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., near the hub, with a view toward Cinderella Castle.
What’s new at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant?
Three Italian dishes, according to WDWNT and MickeyBlog:
Insalata della Casa, with greens, radicchio, tomatoes, cucumber and pepperoncini in balsamic vinaigrette
Lasagna alla Bolognese, with meat sauce layered with mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan and Pecorino Romano
Eggplant Parmigiana, a plant-based dish of lightly breaded eggplant baked in Tony’s Marinara Sauce, with plant-based mozzarella and spaghetti
What is Tony’s Town Square Restaurant?
It’s the Lady and the Tramp-themed Italian spot on Main Street, U.S.A., named for the restaurant where Lady and Tramp share their famous spaghetti dinner. It has served Main Street guests since 1989.
The new plant-based eggplant parm gives vegan guests a real entree option on Main Street.
How do you get a dining reservation at Magic Kingdom?
Disney World dining reservations open 60 days ahead, and you can book through the My Disney Experience app or website. Walk-up spots sometimes open up, too, especially at lunch.
Be Our Guest tends to book first. Tony’s and The Plaza are usually easier to snag.
If you’re paying with Disney gift cards, you’re covered. They still work at every Disney-owned and operated location, WDW News Today reported this week, even as some outside shops at Disney Springs stop taking them.
Are there new snacks at Magic Kingdom too?
Yes. Disney added several new snacks around the park this week as well, according to Disney Food Blog. Between the snacks and the sit-down menus, it’s a good week to eat your way down Main Street.
Which new Magic Kingdom dish should you try first?
If you like rich food, the lobster mac at Be Our Guest is the obvious pick. If you want something lighter on a hot day, the shrimp wedge salad at The Plaza is the move.
Either way, save room for that Steamboat Willie shake.
