Disney is making 4,600 of its new limited edition Belle doll and just 2,050 of the Beast. It's the first solo Beast doll in about 10 years, Disney says, and both go on sale Nov. 13 at 8 a.m. PT.
Belle gets 4,600 copies. The Beast gets fewer than half that.
Disney revealed two Beauty and the Beast 35th anniversary limited edition dolls on Wednesday, Nov. 4: Belle, in an edition of 4,600, and the Beast, in an edition of 2,050. Both drop Nov. 13 at 8 a.m. PT on DisneyStore.com and at select Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World locations, Disney Parks Blog said.
The same day, Disney posted a roundup of 35th anniversary merchandise. Some of it is already in the parks, and the rest is "coming soon" to Disney Store.
Both dolls wear their library outfits from the scene where the Beast gives Belle his library. Belle has her green gown with gold embroidery and pink bows. The Beast wears a blue satin vest and a velvet cape with lions embroidered along the hem. Each one holds a book.
"It's such a sweet, meaningful moment in the movie that rarely gets represented," designer J. Fuchs told Disney Parks Blog. The team also realized Disney hadn't offered a solo Beast doll in about 10 years.
Disney hasn't posted doll prices. For comparison, the 30th anniversary Belle and Beast set in 2021 cost $500 for an edition of 1,800, and preorders had sold out by Nov. 7, 2021, Laughing Place reported. This year's dolls are sold separately, with far more copies.

When did Beauty and the Beast come out?
An unfinished version premiered at the New York Film Festival on Sept. 29, 1991, with only about 70% of the animation done. The finished film opened nationwide Nov. 22, 1991.
That makes the real 35th birthday Nov. 22, 2026, nine days after the dolls drop. It went on to become the first animated film nominated for the best picture Oscar, and the Broadway musical opened in 1994.
Disney has been celebrating for months. Beauty and the Beast was one of 10 anniversary collections in Disney Store's D23 drop in August, as we reported.
Set an alarm for Nov. 13. With only 2,050 Beasts, that tale as old as time could be over by 8:05.
