Blue Bell Creameries brought back Cookies ‘n Cream Cone ice cream for a limited time. It’s in pints only, according to Parade, and it’s showing up at regular stores that carry Blue Bell. The company announced it on Instagram last week.
There’s no end date. There’s also no half-gallon, which is the part fans are grumbling about.
What’s in Blue Bell Cookies ‘n Cream Cone ice cream?
It’s basically a sugar cone and a cookies-and-cream bar blended together. Per Parade and Blue Bell:
Vanilla ice cream as the base
Chocolate creme-filled cookie crumbles
Chocolate cone pieces dipped in a dark chocolate-flavored coating
A chocolate fudge swirl running through it
That’s four different kinds of chocolate crunch in one carton. It’s a lot, in a good way.
Is Cookies ‘n Cream Cone a new Blue Bell flavor?
No. There’s some confusion online about where this flavor came from, so here’s the timeline.
Blue Bell first released Cookies ‘n Cream Cone as an ice cream flavor in February 2021. The idea came from a cookies-and-cream ice cream cone that was a popular school lunch treat from 1997 to 2015, before it was discontinued.
Joe Robertson, Blue Bell’s executive director of advertising and marketing, said back in 2021 that fans on social media kept bringing up that cone as “a popular lunchtime treat in school.” So Blue Bell turned it into a scoopable flavor.
Some write-ups this week say the ice cream itself debuted in 1997. That date belongs to the old cone, not the flavor in the pint.

Anywhere that normally sells Blue Bell, as long as the store gets a shipment. Parade says it isn’t tied to a single retailer.
