Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak at the Walt Disney World Dolphin is open again after a June 25 kitchen fire kept it closed for more than three months. Dinner runs 5 to 11 p.m.
Bourbon Steak is back in business.
Michael Mina’s steakhouse at the Walt Disney World Dolphin has reopened, Disney Food Blog reported on Oct. 9. The blog found it open when it stopped by the hotel the day before.
The restaurant had been closed since a kitchen fire on June 25.
When did Bourbon Steak close at the Dolphin?
June 25, 2026. A fire broke out in the restaurant’s kitchen that day, and guests were evacuated from Bourbon Steak and other parts of the hotel, WDW News Today reported.
An official said at the time that the damage stayed inside the restaurant, and the hotel itself wasn’t damaged.
Afterward, the hotel emailed guests with reservations to say Bourbon Steak would be closed “for the foreseeable future while repairs are completed,” according to WDW News Today. No reopening date was ever announced.
What are Bourbon Steak’s hours now?
Dinner runs from 5 to 11 p.m., according to the Swan and Dolphin’s restaurant hours page. The Bourbon Steak lounge keeps the same hours.
You can book a table through My Disney Experience or OpenTable, Disney Food Blog reported.
The Swan and Dolphin aren’t run by Disney, but they sit on Disney property near EPCOT. That’s why you can still book through Disney’s app.
What’s on the menu at Bourbon Steak?
Steak, mostly. Disney Food Blog describes it as a modern take on the American steakhouse, with premium cuts of beef, seafood and big desserts.
The restaurant’s photo gallery on the Swan and Dolphin website shows dishes like Michael Mina’s tuna tartare, lobster pot pie, a shellfish platter and warm beignets with dipping custards.
When it first opened, Disney Food Blog’s favorites were the black truffle bread, the onion soup gratin and the jumbo lump crab cake.
This fall, the menu also has a Hay-Smoked Tomahawk Steak, served with potato-crusted fondant potatoes and red wine demi-glace, WDW News Today reported.
Is Bourbon Steak doing anything for Halloween or Thanksgiving?
Yes, both. The Swan and Dolphin is pouring a different Halloween cocktail each week this October at its restaurants and lounges, Bourbon Steak included.
On Thanksgiving, Bourbon Steak will add a slow-roast turkey roulade, turkey pot pie and roasted pumpkin cheesecake to its regular menu, according to WDW News Today.
What was Bourbon Steak before?
It took over the space that used to be Shula’s Steak House and opened in July 2025. So the fire hit a few weeks before the restaurant’s first birthday.
Mina is a celebrity chef who runs more than 40 restaurants around the world, Disney Food Blog noted. Bourbon Steak is one of six signature restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin, according to the resort’s website. The others are Todd English’s bluezoo, Il Mulino, Rosa Mexicano, Kimonos and Amare.
Where is the Walt Disney World Dolphin?
It’s on Crescent Lake, right next to the Swan, in the EPCOT area of Walt Disney World. You can walk to Disney’s BoardWalk and EPCOT’s International Gateway from there, and boats run to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
The Dolphin is the one with the giant dolphin statues on the roof, so it’s hard to miss.
What else is coming up at the Swan and Dolphin?
The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic returns Nov. 20 and 21. It’s a street party with unlimited food and drink tastings from the resort’s restaurants and lounges, live entertainment and appearances by Michael Mina and Todd English, WDW News Today reported.
Tickets are sold separately through the event’s website. If you can’t get a dinner reservation, it’s one way to taste a lot of the resort in one night.
