Camp Rock 3 premieres Today, 16 years after the last one
The Jonas Brothers return as Connect 3 in a sequel arriving August 13 on Disney Channel and August 14 on Disney+. Demi Lovato executive produced, and whether she appears on screen depends on which outlet you read.
Connect 3 lost their opening act. That’s the whole premise, and it’s enough.
Camp Rock 3 premieres Thursday, August 13 at 8 p.m. ET on Disney Channel, then lands on Disney+ the next day. Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas are back as the Gray brothers, 16 years after Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
The band returns to camp hunting for a new opener ahead of a national tour. What they find is a cabin full of teenagers who want it badly.
Who’s in the Camp Rock 3 cast
The new campers carry the film. Liamani Segura plays Sage, the determined newcomer, with Hudson Stone as her easygoing brother Desi.
Around them: Lumi Pollack as cello prodigy Rosie, Casey Trotter as drummer Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as choreographer Callie, Ava Jean as influencer Madison, and Malachi Barton as camp bad boy Fletch. Sherry Cola is also in the cast.
Maria Canals-Barrera returns as Connie Torres.
Veronica Rodriguez directs. Tim Federle executive produces alongside the three Jonas brothers, Demi Lovato, Betsy Sullenger, Gary Marsh, and Spencer Berman.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, she is returning.
Director Veronica Rodriguez told THR,
“We wanted to find the right balance of how much she should be in the film and what Mitchie’s involvement looked like,” Rodriguez says. “Her character literally says in the movie, to her mom, ‘This isn’t about me, it’s about them. It’s their time to shine. This is the new generation of campers.’ With Mitchie and Connect 3, we wanted them to be ingrained and necessary for the story but also leave enough room and space for the world to fall in love with the new generation of campers.”
The music, which is half the point
The first single, One Beat Away, is out, performed by Segura and the cast.
The digital soundtrack drops August 14 with vinyl following September 18. Disney says the tracklist pulls from pop, country, K-pop, R&B, hip-hop, and folk, alongside music from the earlier films and past Connect 3 performances.
Filming ran from September 15 to November 1, 2025, in Vancouver.
Why Camp Rock 3 matters more than a sequel usually would
Disney counts both earlier films among its ten most-watched Disney Channel Original Movies ever. That franchise launched the Jonas Brothers and Lovato, and did a fair amount for Selena Gomez and the whole 2008 Disney Channel machine around it.
Which makes the release date interesting. Camp Rock 3 hits Disney+ on August 14, the same day D23 opens in Anaheim with the Disney Entertainment Showcase.
Disney is dropping its biggest Channel revival in a decade and a half into the loudest Disney news day of the year. Either the movie gets buried under Marvel announcements or it rides the wave. Nobody schedules that by accident.
The first two films are already streaming if anybody needs a refresher, and plenty of people are about to find out how the 2008 version of themselves holds up.
