The newest Celsius Spritz Vibe flavor mixes cherry and lime into a zero-sugar, 15-calorie energy drink. Target already has it, and one early reviewer says grenadine fans may notice something.
The Shirley Temple has officially entered energy drink territory.
Celsius is bringing back its seasonal Spritz Vibe line with a Winter Edition Sparkling Shirley Temple flavor, Stack3d reported. The cans are hitting shelves this week wherever Celsius is sold, according to Sporked, which got early cans from the company.
Target already has them. The Impulsive Buy posted a reader’s photo of the drink at Target on Thursday, Oct. 15, with the comment, “I swear Celsius Energy Drink names are like sentences.”
Stack3d reported even earlier, on Oct. 5, that Target already had it, with Amazon expected to follow soon.
What does the Celsius Shirley Temple taste like?
Cherry and lime, according to Stack3d. Sporked lists the flavor profile as cherry, citrus and lime.
Sporked’s Griffin Parker called it “easily my favorite Spritz Vibe to date.” He said the cherry and citrus flavors are well balanced, making for a “solidly sweet-and-tart energy drink.”
He did have one gripe. A classic Shirley Temple gets its flavor from grenadine, which is made from pomegranate, not cherry, plus ginger ale or lemon-lime soda and maraschino cherries.
So the Celsius version tastes more like a sparkling cherry lemon-limeade than the real thing, he wrote. Shirley Temple diehards may want to know that going in.
How many calories are in Celsius Shirley Temple?
15 calories, with zero sugar and 2 grams of carbs, Stack3d reported. That’s a little more than the summer flavor, which had 10 calories, according to Sporked.
Neither report listed the caffeine. For comparison, the summer Spritz Vibe flavor had 200 milligrams of caffeine per can, Sporked reported in July.
Giant Food’s website lists the new flavor in a 12-ounce can.
What other Celsius Spritz Vibe flavors are there?
This is the third. The Spritz Vibe name first showed up last winter on Sparkling Snowball Frost, a spritz-inspired flavor with an apres-ski theme, according to Stack3d and Sporked.
That first one split the room. Sporked’s review praised how well it captured bitter citrus, but one staffer compared it to floor cleaner.
Celsius brought the name back this summer for Sparkling Limoncello Twist, which hit shelves July 23, Sporked reported. That one was a limited-edition release, and it was completely nonalcoholic, Sporked noted.
Stack3d described Spritz Vibe as a seasonal series inside Celsius’ bigger family of “Vibe” flavors.
Now it’s back for winter with a mocktail instead of a cocktail. Parker gave both earlier Spritz Vibe flavors 7.5 out of 10 in his Sporked reviews.
Why does Celsius keep making weird flavors?
Sporked credits the flavors. Newer brands like Celsius and Alani Nu have taken over a big chunk of what used to be mostly a Monster and Red Bull market, and their unusual flavor lineups are part of the reason, Sporked said in July.
Celsius already has flavors like pina colada and orange Creamsicle in its lineup, according to Sporked.
Is the Shirley Temple flavor having a moment?
Pretty much. 7Up brought its Shirley Temple soda back to shelves for the 2026 holidays, as we reported on Oct. 12. That one is 7Up with cherry and pomegranate flavors, and it’s on its third holiday season.
7Up was the first mainstream soda brand to sell a Shirley Temple flavor, according to Allrecipes. Smaller brands like Olipop and Poppi have made their own versions since.
The drink itself is one of the oldest mocktails around. It’s named after Shirley Temple, one of Hollywood’s biggest child stars of the 1930s.
Now there’s a caffeinated version for anyone who wants their childhood restaurant drink to also get them through a 3 p.m. meeting.
Where can you buy Celsius Shirley Temple?
Target first, with Amazon expected to follow, Stack3d said. Sporked said it’s rolling out this week wherever Celsius drinks are sold.
Grocery chains are listing it, too, including Giant Food.
Neither Stack3d nor Sporked said how long the Winter Edition will stick around. The summer flavor was a limited run, so it may be smart to grab a few cans early.
Grenadine purists, consider yourselves warned.
