Cinemark’s U.S. Avengers: Doomsday lineup has a light-up Doctor Doom statue bucket and a Doom cup. Here’s what’s coming, what we don’t know yet and how it compares to Regal and AMC.
Doctor Doom is coming for your popcorn.
Cinemark showed off its Avengers: Doomsday collectibles for American theaters on Thursday, Oct. 29, Fantasy Land News and Cosmic Book News reported.
The headliners are an LED Doctor Doom Statue Bucket and an LED Doctor Doom Character 3D Cup, and both light up. “A bucket worthy of Doom,” Cinemark posted on X, according to Cosmic Book News.
Here’s the latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer from Marvel Entertainment:
What’s in Cinemark’s Avengers: Doomsday lineup?
Here’s what Fantasy Land News lists for Cinemark:
LED Doctor Doom Statue Bucket: A Doom statue that holds your popcorn and lights up.
LED Doctor Doom Character 3D Cup: A tall cup with Doom standing on the lid. It lights up, too.
Souvenir cups: Four designs, with Black Panther, Captain America, Doctor Doom and The Thing.
Popcorn tins: Three designs, and one of them is a Cinemark exclusive.
Fantasy Land News’ popcorn bucket guide says they come with free same-day refills.
When can you buy Cinemark’s Doctor Doom bucket?
Cinemark hasn’t said yet. The items are “coming soon” to select locations, “while supplies last,” Fantasy Land News reported.
Prices haven’t been announced either. Fantasy Land News, Comic Basics and Cosmic Book News all say Cinemark hasn’t shared what the bucket or cup will cost.
There’s also no word on pre-orders, online sales or limits per customer.
Wait, didn’t Cinemark show a different Doom bucket earlier?
That one was from Brazil. In early October, a first look at a hooded Doom mask bucket and a cup with Doom sitting on his throne went viral as a “Cinemark” reveal.
“Earlier images attributed to Cinemark were actually from Cinemark Brasil,” Comic Basics reported Thursday. Fiction Horizon said a tagging mix-up linked the Brazilian bucket to Cinemark’s account in the States.
Cinemark Brasil has its own set of four items, according to Fiction Horizon:
An LED hooded Doom head bucket with a metallic mask and green hood.
An LED Doom throne cup with a small seated Doom.
A metal Doom bucket.
An Iron Studios pin that’s exclusive to Cinemark.
The movie opens in Brazil on Dec. 17. Cinemark Brasil hasn’t shared prices.
What are Regal and AMC selling for Avengers: Doomsday?
The other big chains are getting in on Doom, too. Regal, AMC, Cinemark, Harkins and Marcus all carry a Doctor Doom statue bucket, Fantasy Land News reported.
Fantasy Land News and Comic Basics list each chain’s extras:
Regal: The “Doom’s Throne Popcorn Container” puts Doom on a throne above a glowing hexagon base. Regal’s Sentinel drink vessel has a glowing green visor, and both arrive at select theaters starting Thursday, Dec. 17.
AMC: A purple Sentinel Head, a glowing Team Icon Collectible in three designs and a hooded “Bottle of Doom.” They go on sale in theaters only, starting Dec. 17. The fine print rules out gourmet popcorn and AMC Stubs upgrades, and drinks are fountain only.
Harkins: Eight items, including a throne bucket and throne cup. They go on sale Dec. 17, one hour before the first showtime.
Marcus: A statue bucket, a Doom cup, a Thermos and a tin, all “coming soon.”
None of the chains has announced prices. AMC and Regal have been taking pre-orders for a $29.99 Doctor Doom Mask Light, though, Comic Basics and Fiction Horizon reported.
Also, watch out for fakes. Knockoff Doomsday buckets are already showing up on AliExpress, Fantasy Land News warned on Oct. 25.
When does Avengers: Doomsday come out?
Avengers: Doomsday opens in theaters on Friday, Dec. 18, according to Marvel.com. Early Infinity Vision screenings start the night before, and tickets for those have been on sale through Fandango since July 20, Marvel.com says.
Anthony and Joe Russo directed the film, and Robert Downey Jr. plays Doctor Doom. Marvel’s cast list also includes Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.
That’s a lot of big names, and a lot of buckets for collectors to chase.
With Cinemark still saying “coming soon,” your best bet is to ask at your local Cinemark’s concession stand when you buy your tickets.
