Coca-Cola confirmed two new colas for 2027: Cherry Lime in February and Strawberry Float next summer. We’ve got what’s in them, what else Coke has coming and how they stack up.
Coca-Cola has two new colas on the way, and one of them sounds like a trip to an old soda fountain.
Coca-Cola Cherry Lime arrives in February 2027, and Coca-Cola Strawberry Float follows in summer 2027, the company said. Both were in a lineup Coca-Cola announced Oct. 5 and showed off at the NACS Show, a big convenience-store trade show in Las Vegas, Oct. 7 to 9.
Coca-Cola put dates on eight new drinks for 2027. These two are the only actual Cokes in the bunch.
When does Coca-Cola Cherry Lime come out?
February 2027. Coca-Cola didn’t give a day, but Sporked reported in September that an industry listing had it down for Feb. 17, in 12-packs of cans and 20-ounce bottles, in regular and Zero Sugar.
The company says the drink mixes “the classic cherry flavor consumers know with a bright lime twist.” Coca-Cola says it builds on cherry’s popularity with younger drinkers.
There’s a fun detail in Coca-Cola’s own product photo. The only Cherry Lime bottle in it is the Zero Sugar version, with a purple label.
Cherry Lime may also be a familiar taste for moviegoers. Sporked reported that it started out as a Coca-Cola Freestyle mix at AMC theaters, tied to The Devil Wears Prada 2, the 20th Century Studios sequel that opened May 1. Coca-Cola’s announcement doesn’t mention that.
What is Coca-Cola Strawberry Float?
It’s Coke with strawberry and creamy vanilla flavors, which Coca-Cola pitches as a nostalgic combo. Think of a strawberry milkshake, if somebody poured a Coke into it.
It lands in summer 2027, Coca-Cola says. Sporked, citing a soda-hunting social media account, reported a little earlier window, late spring and possibly May, and called it a limited-time flavor with a Zero Sugar version too. Coca-Cola hasn’t said either of those things.
It’s the second “Float” Coke in about a year and a half. Coca-Cola Cherry Float and Zero Sugar Cherry Float went nationwide in February 2026.
What else is Coca-Cola releasing in 2027?
The rest of Coca-Cola’s 2027 list, all from the same announcement:
Mr. Pibb Black-Current, a berry flavor with blackberry and black currant and 54 mg of caffeine, planned for spring 2027 as a limited-time drink. (Yes, Coca-Cola spells it “Current.” The berry is spelled “currant.”)
Powerade Watermelon and Lemon Lime Zero Sugar, January 2027.
Core Power Banana protein shakes in 26-gram and 42-gram versions, January 2027. Coca-Cola says it’s the brand’s first new flavor in nearly 10 years.
Topo Chico Sabores Pineapple Coconut, February 2027.
Vitaminwater zero sugar formula 100, a grape flavor, March 2027.
Coca-Cola is also testing a prebiotic Coke Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar and Fresca with 6 grams of fiber, starting in late October in parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Shakir Moin, Coca-Cola’s president of marketing for North America, put it simply: “For us, innovation starts with the consumer.”
Is Holiday Creamy Vanilla Coke back for 2026?
Yes. Coca-Cola Holiday Creamy Vanilla and its Zero Sugar version began rolling out to stores Oct. 12, 2026, in 12-packs and 20-ounce bottles, according to Mass Market Retailers and Sporked.
That’s 22 days earlier than last year. The flavor debuted Nov. 3, 2025, as Coca-Cola’s first new limited holiday flavor in five years, Beverage Industry reported. Walmart also sold an exclusive 2-liter of it last season.
And since it’s officially the season, here’s Coca-Cola’s “Holidays Are Coming” ad from last year:
How do Coke’s new flavors compare to Pepsi and Dr Pepper?
Coke isn’t the only one going after the soda-fountain crowd.
Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float is also due in February 2027, and it’s a permanent flavor, not a limited one, FoodBev reported from Keurig Dr Pepper’s lineup. Pepsi Strawberry Shortcake is reportedly coming in February too, in regular and Zero Sugar, though PepsiCo hasn’t confirmed it.
If those dates hold, Pepsi’s strawberry soda beats Coke’s to shelves by a few months.
Cherry is everywhere right now, too. Keurig Dr Pepper says 7UP Shirley Temple, with cherry and pomegranate flavors, is returning for the holiday season.
What happened to Coca-Cola’s other limited flavors?
Coke’s flavor list moves fast. A few from the last couple of years:
Coca-Cola Spiced hit shelves in February 2024 with raspberry and spices. Coca-Cola was phasing it out about seven months later, Food Dive reported.
Coca-Cola Y3000 came out in September 2023. Coke said it was made with help from artificial intelligence.
Coca-Cola Orange Cream hit shelves in February 2025, another soda-fountain throwback.
Diet Coke Lime made a retro return in October 2025 for a run through the end of the year.
Mr. Pibb came back in October 2025 with 30% more caffeine.
Cherry Coke started all of this. It launched in 1985 as Coca-Cola’s first flavored version of Coke.
What are some fun facts about these new Cokes?
Cherry has a long history at Coke. Cherry Coke is more than 40 years old, and Cherry Lime and Cherry Float are its newest relatives.
The movie version only lasted about six weeks. The Freestyle mixes tied to The Devil Wears Prada 2 ran at AMC theaters from March 27 to May 6, Allrecipes reported.
Strawberry is having a moment. Coke and Pepsi are both betting on strawberry-and-cream sodas for 2027, and Dr Pepper is going with plain old ice cream.
February is shaping up to be a busy month in the soda aisle. Might want to bring a cart.
