Costco’s bakery has a new Lemon Cream Caramelized Croissant, six for $12.99. It’s built like the Blueberry Cheesecake version, and it’s only in some warehouses so far.
Costco has a new pastry in the bakery case, and it looks like a croissant that got turned into a tiny lemon pie.
The Lemon Cream Caramelized Croissant sells in packs of six for $12.99. That works out to about $2.17 a croissant.
It started showing up in warehouses in early October. Costco fan account @costcohotfinds spread the word in an Instagram video, and plenty of commenters said they wanted one.
What is Costco’s Lemon Cream Caramelized Croissant?
Each one is a croissant curled into its own shallow baking cup, so it bakes up like a small tart. The outside gets crisp and caramelized. The middle is filled with a tangy lemon cream, and the top gets a crunchy finish.
Sporked reported that one six-pack weighs more than a pound and a half. So, not exactly a light snack.
Laura Jayne Lamb, who runs @costcohotfinds, was a big fan. “This has to be one of the best desserts Costco bakery has ever done,” she said, as quoted by Sporked.
Is the lemon croissant at every Costco?
Not yet. It looks like a select-warehouse rollout for now.
Warehouse Runner, a site that tracks Costco prices, lists it as item 2114521 at $12.99. On Oct. 8, it showed the croissants at seven Costco locations, with stock confirmed at one, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Costco’s bakery items often roll out by region, so your warehouse may get it later or not at all. If you don’t see it, ask someone in the bakery whether it’s coming. The item number can help.
Is it like the Blueberry Cheesecake Croissant?
Yes. The format is the same as Costco’s Blueberry Caramelized Cheesecake Croissant, which Sporked put on its list of Costco buys for December 2025. That one also came six to a pack in the same tart-style cups.
The lemon version swaps the blueberry and cheesecake filling for lemon cream. On the Instagram post, at least one fan of the blueberry version suggested combining the two flavors.
Costco has been on a croissant streak lately. Sporked pointed to the Mini Pain au Chocolat and the Twice Baked Cinnamon Croissants as other recent bakery wins.
What are people saying about the lemon croissant?
In the video, @costcohotfinds said the croissant “looks like it came straight from a little pastry shop.” One commenter on the Instagram video wrote, “Ok Costco...you got me...I’m gonna get a membership,” as reported by The Takeout.
Early reviews collected by Sporked say it’s good straight out of the box, with no jam or extra butter needed. Others suggested a quick warm-up in the air fryer to bring back the crunch.
How should you store Costco croissants?
Six rich pastries is a lot for one household to finish in a day or two. A few easy options:
Check the label for storage directions, since cream-filled pastries usually belong in the fridge.
Eat the first couple within a day or two, while the outside is still crisp.
Freeze extras in a sealed bag, then reheat in the air fryer or oven.
A few minutes in the air fryer at a low temperature can bring back the flaky outside. Keep it short so the filling doesn’t melt into soup.
Sporked’s own verdict is that it could be one of Costco’s standout bakery items, though it’s early. Lemon desserts in October are a little unusual, since fall menus lean hard on pumpkin and apple. If you’re tired of pumpkin spice already, this might be your exit ramp.
