Cracker Barrel is doing its $5 all-you-can-eat pancake deal again this Saturday, Sept. 26, for National Pancake Day. The chain started teasing it last week on TikTok, and food outlets including Parade and Sporked have since reported the date and price.
It’s buttermilk pancakes with butter and syrup, and the refills keep coming until you tap out or the restaurant closes. Whichever happens first.
How does the Cracker Barrel all-you-can-eat pancake deal work?

Cracker Barrel serves breakfast all day, so this doesn’t have to be a sunrise mission. A 4 p.m. pancake run counts.
The chain hasn’t put out a full press release with the fine print yet. Last year’s version had rules. Back in 2025 the first plate came with three pancakes, and each refill brought two more. It was dine-in only, no sharing, and no takeout or delivery. Toppings, fillings, eggs, meat, sides, and drinks cost extra.
Is the Cracker Barrel pancake deal worth it?
Pretty much from the first bite.
According to Parade, a regular order of two buttermilk pancakes with butter and syrup costs $6.29 at Cracker Barrel. So the $5 deal is already $1.29 cheaper than a normal two-stack. If last year’s rules hold and the first plate comes with three, you’re paying less for more pancakes before you ever ask for a refill.
Everything after that is a bonus.
The catch is what you add. Bacon, eggs and coffee aren’t part of the $5, and a full breakfast can climb back up fast. If you’re there strictly for pancakes, it’s one of the cheapest sit-down meals you’ll find all year.
Can you get Cracker Barrel pancakes to go on National Pancake Day?
Probably not. Last year’s deal wasn’t valid for takeout, delivery or online orders, and the reports on this year’s version all describe it as a dine-in offer.
Plan to sit down, and maybe skip the biscuits.
Did Cracker Barrel Rewards members get early access last year?
They did. In 2025, Cracker Barrel Rewards members got a head start the day before, on Sept. 25, before everyone else got in on Sept. 26.
Nobody has reported an early access day for 2026 so far. Rewards members should keep an eye on the app this week, because that’s where it would show up.
The Rewards program is free and earns “Peg Points” toward free food. Parade also notes that military members get 10 percent off with ID.me verification.
When is National Pancake Day?
There are two, which confuses a lot of people.
Sept. 26 is National Pancake Day on the food holiday calendar, and it’s the one Cracker Barrel is celebrating. IHOP runs its own National Pancake Day in late winter, usually around Shrove Tuesday, when it gives away short stacks and raises money for charity.
So if you’re wondering why you already had “National Pancake Day” earlier this year, that’s why. You get two. Nobody’s complaining.
Other National Pancake Day deals to watch
Last year, other breakfast chains got in on Sept. 26 too, including Perkins Restaurant & Bakery and Corner Bakery Cafe, according to Sporked. Neither has announced a 2026 deal yet, but late September is when those tend to pop up.
As for how many pancakes one person can actually eat at Cracker Barrel, the internet has opinions and at least one very ambitious claim involving two dozen. We’d suggest pacing yourself. The rocking chairs out front are there for a reason.
