Disney’s Animal Kingdom is adding a Tropical Americas area to the park, which will include an Encanto attraction, a carousel, and Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. Bioreconstruct has uploaded aerial images showing the construction progress of this area.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is currently undergoing construction in the now-defunct Dinoland U.S.A. area.
This new part of the park will be a Tropical Americas section featuring an Encanto ride and a refurbished Dinosaur attraction that is becoming an Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent ride.
Thanks to Bioreconstruct on X, we have a look at the current state of construction in this area.
The new carousel is located to the left in this image.
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto is being built.

Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent
Dinosaur is not completely gone, and the Mayan temple is being built in front of the upcoming Indiana Jones attraction.
It does look cool.
The Tropical Americas area is supposed to start opening in 2027.
Given that this attraction is a reskin and not a complete build, Indiana Jones is said to open next year.
Only time will tell.
