D23's Dec. 13 studio lot party adds a screening of the 1991 work-in-progress Beauty and the Beast, a version D23 says was only 70% in color. Tickets go on sale Friday, half an hour before tickets for a Mickey's of Glendale shopping night.
D23's holiday party on the Walt Disney Studios lot is back, and this year it comes with a movie most fans have never seen on a big screen.
A Jolly Holiday on the Lot returns Sunday, Dec. 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Burbank, according to D23's event page. Laughing Place reported the news Wednesday, Nov. 4. The big add-on is a screening of the work-in-progress version of Beauty and the Beast, first shown at the New York Film Festival on Sept. 29, 1991.
D23 says only 70% of that version was in color. It's a rough cut, and that's the point.
Disney Legends Paige O'Hara, the voice of Belle, producer Don Hahn and animator Mark Henn will talk about the film before it rolls.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. PT. Thirty minutes later, D23 opens sales for a separate holiday shopping night at Mickey's of Glendale, the store on the Walt Disney Imagineering campus. Keep two tabs open.
How much are Jolly Holiday on the Lot tickets?
Prices are per ticket, plus a processing fee.
General admission: $59 for Gold Members, $79 for General Members. Check-in at 3 p.m., party from 4 to 8 p.m.
Early shopping: $119, Gold Members only. You get an extra hour at The Walt Disney Company Store, The Walt Disney Studio Store and the Friends of Disney Shopping Village starting at 3 p.m.

Every ticket gets a metal ornament made for the event, celebrating 35 years of Beauty and the Beast. Other freebies:

How do I book D23 holiday event tickets?
Log in with your D23 Member account when sales open. Gold and General Members can book for themselves and up to five guests. Every guest needs a ticket under their legal first and last name.
The member has to show up, or the guests don't get in. Kids under 18 need a ticketed parent or guardian. Children under 3 get in free but don't get gifts or treat vouchers. All sales are final, and tickets can't be transferred.
What is the Mickey's of Glendale holiday shopping event?
It's a ticketed trip to the store on the Imagineering campus. D23 says non-ticketed guests aren't allowed on campus.
