Disney Believe will debut the world’s first Encanto stage musical, a Frozen dinner show starring Oaken and a Zootopia hub called Gazelle when it sets sail in December 2027.
Disney Cruise Line’s next ship is going all in on Disney Animation.
The Disney Believe, which sets sail Dec. 18, 2027, will have the first stage version of Encanto anywhere in the world, a new Frozen dinner show and a Zootopia entertainment hub. Disney Cruise Line revealed the details during a livestream aboard the Disney Wish on Oct. 7.
What shows are on the Disney Believe?
The big one is Disney Encanto, a Broadway-style musical in the ship’s Walt Disney Theatre. It’s the world’s first stage adaptation of the 2021 movie, and it will only play on the Believe.
The show uses the songs Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote for the film, so “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” fans should be in luck. Miranda announced the show in a video message during the reveal.
Two more shows round out the theater lineup:
Tangled: The Musical, moving over from the Disney Magic
Disney Seas the Adventure
You can watch the full reveal below.
What is Oaken’s Table on the Disney Believe?
Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast is a new dinner show built around Oaken, the shopkeeper from Frozen with the famous “big summer blowout” sale.
Disney says it’s set in a summer-house courtyard in the forest. Oaken’s cousins perform reworked songs from Frozen, and Anna and Kristoff make appearances. WDW News Today reported it’s one of the ship’s rotating dinner spots.
Disney hasn’t said whether Elsa shows up. Anna and Kristoff are confirmed.
What is Gazelle on the Disney Believe?
Gazelle is a Zootopia-themed entertainment hub named after the pop star from the movie. It’s for families during the day and turns adults-only at night.
It also gets a new detective show starring Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.
What else is new on the Disney Believe?
The Believe is packed with themed spots. These are the standouts from Disney’s announcement:
Wishing Well, an adults-only lounge themed to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Sea Notes, a piano lounge inspired by Ariel’s grotto, with a pearl-colored piano
Skygazers, an observatory-themed pub
Haunted Mansion Parlor, a returning fan favorite with a new menu
Inside Out: Joyful Sweets, an ice cream and candy shop
Big Hero Sips, a coffee shop themed to San Fransokyo
Cafe Kakamora, a Moana-themed cafe
Kids get a Monsters, Inc. entrance to the Oceaneer Club, complete with “Caution: 2319” tape and a Mike Wazowski figure.
What does the Disney Believe look like?
The ship’s Grand Hall will have a statue of Moana with Pua and Heihei. Tinker Bell decorates the bow, and Buzz Lightyear and Woody sculptures sit on the stern.
The top suite is the two-story Believe Tower Suite, nearly 2,000 square feet and themed to the lands of Magic Kingdom. Concierge staterooms get Peter Pan artwork.
The Believe is the fourth and final Wish-class ship, so the layout matches the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny.
When can you book the Disney Believe?
The maiden voyage leaves Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on Dec. 18, 2027. First-season trips are four and five nights to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
Booking opens to the general public on Oct. 19, with Castaway Club members getting early access starting Oct. 12. The cheapest first-season trip starts at $2,683 for two people, including taxes and fees.
Trent Hitchcock, the ship’s opening cruise director, summed up the mood: “I can’t wait to share the Disney Believe with all our guests.”
