Disney Cruise Line announced a livestream reveal for Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 4:30 p.m. Eastern, streaming across the Disney Parks social accounts.
The ship arrives in 2027.

The homeport is the whole ballgame
Here’s why that item matters more than the rest.
A cruise ship’s homeport decides who can drive to it. If the Believe sails out of Port Canaveral, most of the eastern United States is within reach, and it pairs naturally with a Walt Disney World trip. If it goes to Fort Lauderdale, Galveston, San Diego or somewhere overseas, the math changes completely for most families.
Airfare for a family of four can cost more than the cruise itself. The homeport is the difference between a drivable vacation and an expensive one.
Itineraries matter for the same reason. A three-night Bahamas run and a seven-night Alaska sailing are different products at very different prices.
Disney knows this. It’s why the homeport leads their own list.
What’s already been announced
Disney shared some details at D23 in August.
Guests will be greeted by Moana and her friends in the Grand Hall, the ship’s main atrium space. Woody and Buzz Lightyear appear on the stern, and Tinker Bell takes the bow.
Promotional art for the reveal also features Elsa and Mirabel alongside Buzz.
That’s a deliberately wide spread. Pixar, Frozen, Encanto, Moana and Peter Pan all in one ship, rather than a single-franchise theme.
Booking is what comes next
The practical reason to care about Oct. 7 is what follows it.
Once Disney announces itineraries, booking dates follow. Disney Cruise Line typically opens reservations in tiers, with Disney Vacation Club members first, then Castaway Club members and Annual Passholders, then the general public, usually a day or two apart.
Popular sailings on new ships sell out fast at every tier. If the Believe’s itineraries interest you, the window between the reveal and the on-sale date is short.
Disney has not announced booking dates.
Disney Cruise Line is growing quickly
The Believe is one piece of a much larger buildout.
Disney has been expanding its fleet aggressively, with ships entering service across the back half of this decade. At D23 in August, the company teased an entirely new class of three ships sized between its classic and newest vessels, with the first arriving in 2029.
Disney has said its fleet will reach 13 ships by 2031.
The company has also been testing new markets. The Disney Wish is sailing a seven-cruise season out of New York in fall 2027, Disney’s first New York season since 2023.
All of which makes the homeport announcement more interesting than it would have been five years ago. Disney is no longer running everything out of Florida.
What we still don’t know
Almost everything else.
No homeport. No itineraries. No venue names, restaurant concepts or show titles. No pricing. No booking dates. No word on whether the Believe belongs to the same class as the Wish and Treasure or something different.
Disney has kept the specifics tight since the name reveal, which is standard for a ship this far out.
Oct. 7 at 4:30 p.m. Eastern. That’s when the guessing stops.
