The Dec. 18, 2027, sailing sold out on Oct. 14, while only Disney’s top Castaway Club members could book. The general public can book the other Believe cruises starting Oct. 19.
The first Disney Believe cruise is already full, and most people never got a shot at it.
The new ship’s maiden voyage sold out on Wednesday, Oct. 14, WDW News Today reported. At that point, only Pearl, Platinum and Gold Castaway Club members could book.
The general public can’t book any Believe sailing until Monday, Oct. 19.
Here’s a rundown of what’s on the ship from Theme Park Shark:
When is the Disney Believe maiden voyage?
Dec. 18 to 23, 2027. It’s a five-night Bahamian cruise from Fort Lauderdale with stops at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Disney Castaway Cay and Nassau, according to WDW News Today.
Prices for the sailing started at $6,444, WDWNT reported.
Near the end, only one oceanview stateroom was still listed, at $8,014. Trying to book it led to an error page, probably because so many people were trying at the same time, WDWNT said.
How did the Disney Believe sell out so fast?
The booking order didn’t leave much room. Disney Cruise Line opened the Believe to its most loyal cruisers first, one tier per day:
Oct. 12: Pearl Castaway Club members
Oct. 13: Platinum members, plus Golden Oak and Walt Disney World Club 33 members
Oct. 14: Gold members
Oct. 15: Silver members, plus eligible Disney Vacation Club members and Adventure Insiders
Oct. 19: the general public
That schedule comes from The Points Party, Disney Tourist Blog and WDW News Today. The maiden voyage was gone on day three.
Those top tiers take a lot of sailing. Platinum status starts after 10 Disney cruises and Pearl after 25, BlogMickey noted this week.
Can you still book a Disney Believe cruise?
Yes, just not the first one. The Believe’s other 28 inaugural season sailings were still available, WDW News Today reported.
The maiden voyage could open back up, too. Staterooms may come back as guests cancel or change their plans, WDWNT said, so it’s worth checking again.
The cheapest Believe trip started at $2,683 when prices came out last week, as we reported on Oct. 8.
What should you do before Oct. 19?
Pick your sailing and stateroom type now, The Points Party advised. Have your dates, room category and payment card ready before you log on, so you aren’t deciding while the booking window is open.
Disney Vacation Club members have their own option, too. They get an exclusive Believe sailing on Jan. 5, 2028, as we reported on Oct. 11.
Where will the Disney Believe sail?
From Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. The ship will sail four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean, according to WDW News Today and The Points Party.
Itineraries call at Disney’s two island destinations, Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
What’s on the Disney Believe?
A lot of Disney stories. The Believe is Disney Cruise Line’s fourth Wish-class ship, after the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, WDWNT noted. The big additions:
A Moana-inspired Grand Hall
An Encanto signature stage show
A new Frozen dinner show
Inside Out: Joyful Sweets, a dessert shop with Inside Out 2 theming
A Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs lounge
The Haunted Mansion Parlor, which debuted on the Disney Treasure
The Moana statue in the Grand Hall includes Pua and Heihei, and the heart of Te Fiti is hidden in the chandelier, Disney Tourist Blog reported. Two new storyteller characters, Percival and Professor Philomena, will turn up around the ship.
Sea Notes, a piano lounge inspired by Ariel’s grotto from The Little Mermaid, is new too, DTB said.
Plenty of favorites carry over from the other Wish-class ships, including Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, Disney Uncharted Adventure, Worlds of Marvel and Enchante, according to DTB.
Disney revealed the ship in a livestream on Oct. 7, The Points Party noted.
Pearl members didn’t waste any time. Everyone else gets their turn Monday morning.
