One Disney Believe maiden voyage room was listed at over $80,000 for a five-night cruise. Here’s how that compares to regular Disney Believe prices and other sailings.
Disney named the ship “Believe”, but guests can’t believe the prices!
A five-night Disney cruise for the price of a couple new cars? That’s what one stateroom on the Disney Believe maiden voyage cost.
When Disney Cruise Line opened bookings to the general public on Monday, Oct. 19, the last Concierge stateroom left on the maiden voyage was listed at $66,034, according to EverythingMouse.
Another image circulated with a screenshot showing a stateroom at over $80,000.
That’s for a five-night trip to the Bahamas. And it has some Disney fans asking if Disney cruises are getting too expensive.
When is the Disney Believe maiden voyage?
Saturday, Dec. 18, 2027. The five-night cruise sails from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and stops at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Disney Castaway Cay and Nassau, Bahamas, according to DCL Fan.
The Disney Believe is Disney Cruise Line’s fourth Wish-class ship and the sister ship of the Disney Destiny.
How much did the Disney Believe maiden voyage cost?
At least $6,444 for two people in an Inside stateroom. Those were the starting prices when Disney released them on Oct. 8, according to DCL Fan.
Oceanview rooms started at $6,764, Verandah rooms at $7,134, and Concierge at $17,074. Prices are for two guests and include taxes, fees, and port expenses.
Gratuities aren’t included. The maiden voyage sold out on Wednesday, Oct. 14, while booking was still limited to top-tier Castaway Club members, Pirates & Princesses reported.
Why did one Disney Believe room cost $66,034?
It was one of the last rooms left. By Oct. 19, a single Concierge stateroom was still showing for the maiden voyage at $66,034, according to EverythingMouse, but an $80,000 room booked quickly.
That’s nearly four times the $17,074 starting Concierge price. It works out to about $13,200 a night for the room.
EverythingMouse didn’t say which Concierge room it was. Concierge pricing covers several room types, and bigger suites cost much more than the entry-level rooms.
How much is Concierge on other Disney Believe sailings?
Much less. This is how the starting Concierge fare compared on other sailings when prices first came out, according to EverythingMouse:
Dec. 31, 2027 (5 nights): $16,110
Dec. 27, 2027 (4 nights): $14,164
Dec. 23, 2027 (4 nights): $13,715
Jan. 10, 2028 (5 nights): $8,144
Jan. 15, 2028 (5 nights): $7,910
Jan. 20, 2028 (4 nights): $6,699
So the $66,034 room on the maiden voyage cost almost 10 times the cheapest Concierge sailing.
What is the cheapest Disney Believe cruise?
$2,683 for two guests in an Inside stateroom on the four-night Jan. 20-24, 2028, Bahamas cruise, according to DCL Fan. That’s the lowest starting price across all 29 sailings in the ship’s first season.
Are Disney Believe prices going up?
Some are. Since bookings opened, Concierge starting prices on a few January sailings jumped by more than 40 percent, according to EverythingMouse. The Jan. 15 Concierge fare went from $7,910 to $11,310.
But most prices haven’t moved. About 79 percent of the starting fares EverythingMouse checked were unchanged, and none went down. A higher starting price can also mean the cheapest rooms sold out, not that the same room got pricier.
Is Disney Cruise Line getting too expensive?
That depends on who you ask. Many fans say prices have climbed out of reach for regular families, especially on holiday sailings and new-ship debuts.
Still, demand is strong. The maiden voyage sold out before the public could even book. Disney uses demand-based pricing, so the most wanted sailings and the last rooms left usually cost the most.
What’s on board the Disney Believe?
The ship will have the first-ever stage version of Encanto, a Frozen dinner show called Oaken’s Table and a Zootopia-inspired venue called Gazelle, according to Fox 35 Orlando.
Its two-story Believe Tower Suite sleeps eight and is themed to Magic Kingdom. Disney hasn’t widely shared what it costs.
