The free Chip 'n' Dale wreath ornament turned out to be a photo frame with a tiny gold 2026 charm, two things Disney's preview photo didn't show. Opening night also brought an hourlong merch line and a 60-minute wait for Rise of the Resistance.
Disney Jollywood Nights 2026 opened Saturday, Nov. 7, at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and every party guest walked out with the same free souvenir: a Chip 'n' Dale wreath ornament.
Up close, it has two things Disney's preview photo didn't show. The back flips open to hold a photo, and a small gold 2026 charm hangs from the loop, WDW News Today reported in its first look after the party.
That answers two questions from last week. When Disney revealed the ornament Nov. 3, BlogMickey said it couldn't spot a year on it, and Disney hadn't said whether it worked as a frame. It does, and it's dated. We covered the reveal in our Nov. 4 rain plan story.
Cast Members at black carts hand out the gift as you leave. It comes in a gold velveteen bag, and the enameled metal wreath has Dale and Chip on either side of a glittery gold bow, "in that order," WDWNT noted, for the purists.
Here's WDWNT's video of the updated Glisten! from opening night:
What was the Jollywood Nights free gift in past years?
This is the second straight year the exit gift doubles as a photo frame ornament, WDWNT said. Guests got coasters in 2023 and a box of Wondermade marshmallows in 2024. Last year's frame had Mickey and Minnie over a film reel, BlogMickey said.
Want a second ornament? The event shop sells a Santa Gertie one for $26.99. Our merch roundup has the full price list, topped by a $100 Gertie Loungefly bag.
Did Donald, Daisy and Genie skate in Glisten?
Glisten!, the skating show in front of the Chinese Theater, added Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Genie for its third season, the first time Disney characters have joined it, WDWNT reported.
Disney Food Blog said the three "joined the skaters on stage," but it wasn't sold on the ducks. Donald and Daisy were "so far off to the sides" that they pulled focus from the skaters, DFB wrote. Genie's segment "felt more like part of the show."
That fits the two new side stages BlogMickey spotted at the ends of the rink Saturday morning, which it guessed were for characters. Neither DFB nor WDWNT said whether the characters actually skated. DFB still called the show a must-see.
How long is Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! in 2026?
About 14 minutes, once a night at 10 p.m. on Hollywood Boulevard, with projections on the Chinese Theater, lasers, fake snow and MagicBand+ light effects, WDWNT reported.
The story is the same. Wayne and Lanny, the elves from Disney's 2009 TV special Prep & Landing, hunt for a missing Santa and find Oogie Boogie has him. Oogie Boogie really needs a new hobby.
The show debuted in 2016, went on hiatus after January 2020 and came back for the first Jollywood Nights in 2023. Pixar Disco pauses from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. around it, BlogMickey noted.
How long were the lines at Jollywood Nights opening night?
The longest line wasn't for a ride. DFB's team waited about an hour just to get into the event merchandise shop near "Frozen" Fractal Gifts, then about 15 more minutes at checkout.
Party guests can enter at 5:30 p.m. DFB found a big crowd at the gate but got in fairly quickly. Sunset Boulevard was packed early, with day guests still in the park, while Toy Story Land had room to breathe.
Here are the longest waits DFB posted:
7:30 p.m.: Santa Stitch at Celebrity Spotlight, 50 minutes; Slinky Dog Dash, 35; Rise of the Resistance and Tower of Terror, 30 each
8 p.m.: Rise of the Resistance, 60 minutes; Santa Stitch, 40
9:30 p.m.: Santa Stitch, 45 minutes; Rise of the Resistance, 35; Slinky Dog Dash and Toy Story Mania!, 30 each
DFB said crowds thinned once the party officially started at 7:30 p.m. Stitch in a Santa suit outdrew almost everything all night. Respect.
The new George Sanderson and Needleman meet at Pixar Disco "just made our night," DFB said. Our map story lists every character spot, and our PhotoPass guide covers all nine photo ops.
When is the next Jollywood Nights?
Saturday, Nov. 14, but it's sold out, and so is Nov. 28, WDWNT reported Nov. 4. The other dates left are Nov. 16, 21 and 23; Dec. 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21 and 23; and Jan. 3 and 5, 2027.
Tickets cost $169 to $199 plus tax, and Nov. 16 is the cheapest night. The ornament comes with every ticket. Just don't sprint past the carts on your way to the bus.
