Disney+’s Hyper Knife is up for TV Movie/Mini-Series at the 2026 International Emmys, and Park Ji-hyun is the first Korean actress ever nominated, for Netflix’s You and Everything Else.
A Disney+ Korean original is headed to the International Emmys.
Hyper Knife, the medical thriller starring Park Eun-bin and Sul Kyung-gu, is nominated for TV Movie/Mini-Series at the 54th International Emmy Awards. The nominees were announced Sept. 23 in New York.
Korea got a second nod the same day. Park Ji-hyun is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress for Netflix’s You and Everything Else, which makes her the first Korean actress ever nominated for an International Emmy, per Soompi.
What is Hyper Knife about?
Hyper Knife follows Jung Se-ok, a brilliant neurosurgeon who loses her medical license and starts doing illegal surgeries to keep working. Park Eun-bin plays her.
Then her old mentor, Dr. Choi Deok-hee, comes back into her life. Sul Kyung-gu plays him, and the two spend the rest of the show circling each other in a fight over power, revenge and old debts.
It’s a dark one. Park Eun-bin fans who know her from the gentle Extraordinary Attorney Woo get a very different performance here.

The series ran eight episodes on Disney+ from March 19 to April 9, 2025. It was directed by Kim Jung-hyun.

In the U.S., Hyper Knife streams on Disney+ and on Hulu. Hulu also carries an English dub, if subtitles aren’t your thing.

Hyper Knife already has some hardware. Park Eun-bin won Best Lead Actress for it at the 2025 Global OTT Awards, and the show was nominated for Best Miniseries at the Seoul International Drama Awards.
Who is Park Ji-hyun, the first Korean actress nominated?
Park Ji-hyun, 31, broke out as the ambitious daughter-in-law Mo Hyun-min in the 2022 hit Reborn Rich. A year before that, she played Seo Sae-yi in Yumi’s Cells.
In You and Everything Else, she plays Cheon Sang-yeon, a film producer who’s been best friend and rival to Kim Go-eun‘s TV writer Ryu Eun-jung since they were kids. The 15-episode series hit Netflix on Sept. 12, 2025, and it hurts in all the ways a friendship drama is supposed to.
She’s up against Sheridan Smith for I Fought the Law from the U.K., Mexico’s Barbara Mori for Lucca’s World, and a nominee from Belgium.
It’s also been a big year for her in film. Park won Best Supporting Actress at the 2025 Blue Dragon Film Awards for Hidden Face.
When are the 2026 International Emmy Awards?
The winners will be announced Monday, Nov. 23, at a gala in New York City.
This year’s list has 64 nominees in 16 categories from 22 countries. South Korea has two of them.
One streams on Netflix. The other streams on Disney+. Nov. 23 decides whether either one goes home with a trophy.
