Disney walked advertisers in Argentina through Marvel's post-Doomsday lineup, but every date was already public. By our count, Marvel has one movie in all of 2027, then three in 2028.
Disney showed advertisers in Argentina the four Marvel movies coming after Avengers: Doomsday at its Upfront '27 presentation on Thursday, Nov. 5. If you were hoping for a new date, there wasn't one. Every movie on the list already had a U.S. release date.
The show took place at El Cubo in Vicente Lopez, just outside Buenos Aires, NewsDigitales reported. Comedian Agustin "Rada" Aristaran, sports journalist Morena Beltran and TV host Diego Topa hosted. Martin Iraola, president of The Walt Disney Company Latin America, opened the event.
Local trade sites TTV News and Insider Latam listed the Marvel slate by month: Avengers: Secret Wars in December 2027, X-Men in May 2028, Ghost Rider in July 2028 and Black Panther in December 2028. Neither outlet reported a Marvel Studios executive on stage.
Disney's Latin American ad sales boss, Kattia Quintanilla, pitched the whole lineup of movies, Disney+, live shows and ESPN sports. She said Disney can turn big stories into lasting connections with fans.
Here's Marvel's latest look at Avengers: Doomsday:
When do the next Marvel movies come out?
These are the U.S. dates, all set by Disney over the past 18 months. Argentina's dates can differ by a day or two. Doomsday opens there Dec. 16.
Avengers: Doomsday: Dec. 18, 2026. Robert Downey Jr. plays Doctor Doom, and Anthony and Joe Russo direct.
Avengers: Secret Wars: Dec. 17, 2027. Disney set that date in May 2025, when it pushed both Avengers movies back.
X-Men: May 5, 2028. Kevin Feige revealed the cast at D23 in August, with Jake Schreier directing and Adam Driver as Mister Sinister.
Ghost Rider: July 28, 2028. Ryan Gosling stars and Shawn Levy directs. Disney dated it in August, Variety reported.
Black Panther 3: Dec. 15, 2028. Ryan Coogler is back, and David Jonsson plays T'Challa's son. Marvel announced both at Comic-Con in July.
Why is there only one Marvel movie in 2027?
Feige told Empire in July that it comes down to "focusing on quality," and that Avengers is "as important as it comes," tbreak reported. Secret Wars is the only Marvel Studios movie on the 2027 calendar.
Our math: Doomsday to Secret Wars is 364 days with no other Marvel Studios movie in theaters. Then the pace flips. Secret Wars to Black Panther 3 is also 364 days, and four Marvel movies land inside that window.
Is Marvel making December a holiday tradition?
It sure looks like it. Doomsday opens Dec. 18, Secret Wars opens Dec. 17, 2027, and Black Panther 3 opens Dec. 15, 2028. That's three straight years of a Marvel movie in the weeks before Christmas.
For families, that's a built-in holiday outing, as long as the kids are ready for it. Every Avengers movie so far has been rated PG-13. Doomsday's newest ads still say it's not yet rated.
Fans aren't waiting to find out. Disney's finance chief said Doomsday presales topped $50 million, as we reported Nov. 3.
What else did Disney show at its Argentina upfront?
Plenty of family titles, with Argentine release dates, per Insider Latam:
Pixar's Gatto: March 4, 2027
Star Wars: Starfighter: May 27, 2027
Bluey's first movie: Aug. 5, 2027
Frozen 3: Nov. 25, 2027, a day after its Nov. 24 U.S. opening
Disney also announced a Star Wars: A New Hope re-release in Argentine theaters on Feb. 17, 2027, and a local production of Frozen: The Musical starting in May 2027.
Mickey got a plug, too. Disney previewed Forever Mickey, a global celebration for Mickey Mouse's 100th birthday in 2028. Disney first teased its centennial plans at Licensing Expo in May, WDWNT reported.
Is this the same as the big Disney Upfront?
No. Disney's main U.S. upfront happens every May in New York. Regional teams hold their own versions for local advertisers, and Disney's Argentina team did the same thing last November, Senal News reported.
