Disney Lorcana’s Hyperia City set adds characters from Pixar’s Coco for the first time and a new mechanic called Ink Drops. Prerelease events start Oct. 16, and the full set lands Oct. 23, 2026.
Disney Lorcana‘s next set has a Pixar movie in it that the game has never touched.
Ravensburger revealed more of Hyperia City this week. It brings in characters from Disney and Pixar’s Coco for the first time, along with a new game mechanic called Ink Drops.
Prerelease events start Friday, Oct. 16, at game stores and some Disney parks and stores. The full set comes out Friday, Oct. 23.
What is Hyperia City in Disney Lorcana?
It’s a city, and it’s also a wink.
The name is a nod to Walt Disney’s old Hyperion Studio in Los Angeles, where the company made Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. In the game, Hyperia City is split into districts, including City Center, the Wandering Straits, the Marigold District and a school called M.A.G.I.C. Academy.
The Marigold District is where Coco comes in. Miguel Rivera and Hector show up as street musicians, per Fantasyland News.
How do Ink Drops work in Lorcana?
They’re single-use boosts.
Ink Drops work as counters you can spend once, either to help play a card or to power up an ability. Lead designer Lukas Litzsinger said “Ink drops can completely change the tempo of a game.”
That’s a big deal in a game where ink is the resource that controls everything. Any way to bend the ink rules shakes up how people build decks.
What are the rarest cards in Hyperia City?
Two Iconic cards, the game’s top rarity: Mickey Mouse and Cinderella.
The set also has special cards with a night-out theme, a batch of Disney princesses, and glimmers from Big Hero 6.
How much does Hyperia City cost?

Booster display, 24 packs: $143.76
Illumineer’s Trove: $49.99
Prerelease box: $39.99
Playmats, with Snowboarding Stitch or Miguel: $24.99 each
That booster display works out to $5.99 a pack. Watch out for retailer listings above that, which some sites have already posted ahead of release.
What comes after Hyperia City in Disney Lorcana?
Two more things are already on the calendar.
Into the Inkdark brings collector boosters with serialized “Illustrious” cards. Those feature custom art from popular artists, and only 23 copies of each one get printed. That’s not a typo. Twenty-three.
Then Cosmic Quest arrives in spring 2027 with WALL-E and EVE in the game for the first time, plus Ariel, Flounder and Stitch.
Why does Coco matter for Disney Lorcana?
Coco came out in 2017 and won two Oscars, for animated feature and for “Remember Me.” It’s one of Pixar’s most loved movies, and its colors are made for a card game.
It also fits the timing. Hyperia City lands the week before Dia de los Muertos, the holiday Coco is built around. Miguel’s going to be very popular at game night.
When did Disney Lorcana start?
In August 2023, with the first set, The First Chapter. Ravensburger has put out new sets every few months since, and players call themselves Illumineers after the game’s story, where they summon Disney characters from magical ink.
The early sets were famous for selling out and showing up on resale sites well above list price. The game has settled down since, but a Pixar favorite plus 23-copy cards on the horizon is exactly the kind of news that sends collectors back to the store at opening.
