Disney’s second Bobby Kim collection, Baddies, puts Gargoyles, Halloweentown, Magica De Spell and more villains on eight new shirts. They hit DisneyStore.com on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. Pacific.
If you grew up racing home for The Disney Afternoon, Disney Store has a shirt with your name on it. Well, Goliath’s name.
Disney announced the second drop of its Disney | Bobby Kim T-shirt line on Oct. 8. This one is called Collection 2: Baddies, and it’s all villains, with a little Halloween mixed in.
Eight shirts go on sale at DisneyStore.com on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. Pacific, which is 9 p.m. Eastern, according to the Disney Parks Blog.
What’s in the Disney Bobby Kim Baddies collection?
Disney says eight shirts are coming. The designs shown so far:
Gargoyles: Goliath coming to life, straight out of the 1990s cartoon
Halloweentown: a big jack-o’-lantern under the movie’s logo
Skeleton Mickey: classic Mickey with a spooky twist
Magica De Spell: the DuckTales witch, getting the better of Scrooge
Donald’s Better Self: Donald as both an angel and a devil, from the 1938 cartoon
Genie Jafar: an all-over print of Jafar in his genie form from Aladdin
Vanessa: Ursula’s human disguise from The Little Mermaid
Disney’s post also name-checks Maleficent and Cruella de Vil. Prices weren’t announced.
Who is Bobby Kim?
Streetwear fans know him from The Hundreds, the Los Angeles brand he co-founded with Ben Shenassafar in 2003. Disney hired him in March 2025 as a vice president of creative at Disney Consumer Products, Complex reported.
Now he’s Disney’s VP and global creative director, and this shirt line is his baby. Disney pitches it as keepsakes you can wear, tied to fans’ memories of the parks, the movies and the shows they grew up on.
Why are Gargoyles and Halloweentown on Disney shirts?
Because the people buying them were kids in the ‘90s, and Kim was one of them.
“Gargoyles means a lot to my generation,” Kim said, MickeyBlog reported. He pointed to The Disney Afternoon, the after-school cartoon block that also aired DuckTales, as a lot of kids’ first real taste of Disney animation.
Gargoyles ran from 1994 to 1997. It was darker than anything else in that block, with stone warriors waking up at night in New York, and fans have been loud about wanting more of it ever since. You can stream it on Disney+.
Halloweentown is a different flavor of nostalgia. The Disney Channel movie first aired in 1998, with Debbie Reynolds as the grandma who turns out to be a witch.
Kim called the shirt design “spooky and a little mysterious, but always kid-friendly,” in MickeyBlog’s write-up. That’s the movie in one line.
What was in Disney’s first Bobby Kim collection?
Collection 1, called Classics, launched around D23 in August. It had six shirts:
Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey from Fantasia, a long-sleeve
Oliver & Company
The Little Mermaid
Lady and the Tramp
Scar from The Lion King, with Shenzi, Banzai and Ed
Mickey Mouse
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice shirt debuted at a D23 panel on Aug. 15, with a one-item limit, then had a one-day online release on Aug. 17. The other shirts sold online from Aug. 20 to Aug. 23, while supplies lasted.
Will the Baddies shirts sell out?
Nobody has said how many Disney made. But the first drop came in limited windows and “while supplies last,” and Disney is again giving Collection 2 a single evening launch time.
So if the Vanessa shirt is the one, set an alarm for Oct. 15. And double-check the time zone, because MickeyBlog’s write-up said 6 p.m. Eastern while Disney’s own post says Pacific. Go with Disney’s.
Fans of DuckTales get a bonus here. Magica has been chasing Scrooge’s Number One Dime since the 1960s comics, and she finally won one. On a T-shirt, anyway.
