A new Disney+ Perk gives subscribers a Fandango code and a shot at a private screening for 50. D23 members in California can also enter to attend the Nov. 12 premiere.
Disney wants you in a theater seat for Hexed over Thanksgiving week. Are they worried about the box office?
Disney+ subscribers can get a Fandango promo code for $10 off a ticket to Hexed, Disney Food Blog reported Wednesday, Oct. 21. There’s also a daily drawing for a private screening of the movie.
And D23 members in California can enter to attend the Los Angeles premiere on Nov. 12, Laughing Place reported. Here’s how each deal works.
How do you get $10 off Hexed tickets?
Through Disney+ Perks, the rewards section for Disney+ subscribers. The perk gives you a Fandango code for $10 off a Hexed movie ticket, according to Disney Food Blog.
Terms apply, and they’re listed on the Disney+ Perks website. You need an active Disney+ subscription to claim it.
Hexed opens in theaters Wednesday, Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving.
What is the Hexed private screening drawing?
A second Disney+ perk. Subscribers can enter daily for a chance to win a private screening of Hexed for themselves and up to 49 friends, Disney Food Blog reported.
So that’s a theater full of 50 people. It’s only open to Disney+ subscribers.
If you don’t win, you can still grab the $10 code. The two perks are separate.
How can you go to the Hexed premiere?
If you’re a D23 member in California, you can enter the D23 Movie Fan Sweepstakes: Hexed, Laughing Place reported. D23 is Disney’s official fan club.
The winner gets two tickets to the Los Angeles premiere on Thursday, Nov. 12, 13 days before the movie opens everywhere. The prize pack also includes two Hexed cloaks, two cauldron mugs and two tote bags.
Here are the rules, per Laughing Place:
You can enter once a day from Oct. 19 at 9 a.m. PT through Nov. 1 at 8:59 p.m. PT.
You must be a current D23 member who’s a legal California resident and at least 18.
Basic D23 membership is free, and no purchase is needed.
Travel and hotels aren’t included.
What is Hexed about?
It’s about a teenager who finds out she’s a witch. Billie Doe, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, discovers she has magical powers her mom spent years hiding from her, as PNP reported.
Billie ends up in Hexe, a hidden world of witches. Her mom, Alice, voiced by Rashida Jones, follows her there.
Disney describes it as “an unexpected journey to a world of witches that sparks a connection between a mother and daughter,” according to Disney Food Blog.
Who else is in Hexed?
Jodie Foster voices the villain, Queen Celeste, in her first animated role, as PNP reported. Walton Goggins plays Beef Roger, a grumpy, three-eyed, shapeshifting cat.
Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand direct, with Josie Trinidad as co-director. Disney chief creative officer Jared Bush wrote it with Dana Ledoux Miller.
It’s Walt Disney Animation’s 65th animated feature. It also opens with a hand-drawn 2D prologue, a rare move for the studio these days, as PNP reported.
That prologue introduces Billie as a baby whose wild powers put her in danger. A pair of ravens try to grab her through a portal she accidentally opens, which changes how Alice raises her.
Here’s the official trailer, from Walt Disney Animation Studios:
What has Disney shown from Hexed so far?
A few fun bits. In a 36-second clip, Billie tries her new powers to make a path across a swamp, as PNP reported. The green stepping stones turn out to be eyeballs that join together into one huge bug.
The movie’s magic follows a three-step system: intention, ignition and “witchification,” which rarely goes as planned for Billie, as PNP reported.
When does Hexed come out?
Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2026, in theaters. Disney hasn’t announced when it will stream on Disney+.
So if you’ve got Disney+, grab the code now and enter the screening drawing while you’re at it. Check the Disney+ Perks terms for deadlines.
