A TikToker driving home from Halloween Horror Nights at 3 a.m. caught giant, already-decorated tree sections from EPCOT and Hollywood Studios rolling down the road on flatbed trucks.
Christmas is already on the road at Walt Disney World, and it has a police escort.
A TikTok posted this week by user giannaborello shows flatbed trucks hauling huge Christmas tree sections, with the garland and oversized ornaments already attached, as police rode along with the convoy. She said she came across it around 3 a.m. while driving home from Universal's Halloween Horror Nights.
Her caption was a Frozen joke: "She's almost thawed."
Which Disney World Christmas trees were on the trucks?
At least two, by WDW News Today's count. The first section in the video has sweeping gold garland, giant gold bells with silver bows and colorful baubles, which matches the EPCOT tree that stood at the entrance to World Showcase, near Port of Entry and Disney Traders, last year.
The sections on the other two trucks look like the Hollywood Studios tree at Echo Lake. That one has thick silver garland, colorful ornaments and vintage-style Santa faces, and it usually stands near Gertie the dinosaur.
The trees travel in tiers. Crews decorate each section ahead of time, truck it to the park and then stack the pieces into the full tree, which is why the video shows what look like giant, fully dressed tree slices.
Pieces of the Magic Kingdom tree and the Town Center tree at Disney Springs were also spotted earlier this week, staged outside a Disney warehouse and waiting for their ride.
When does the Magic Kingdom Christmas tree go up?
Usually the first week of November. WDWMagic photographed the Magic Kingdom tree arriving on Nov. 4, 2024, and again on Nov. 3, 2025, so another early-November arrival would fit right in.
It stands in Town Square at the front of Main Street, U.S.A., and it stays up through the end of the holiday season in early January.
When does Christmas start at Walt Disney World in 2026?
Disney World's official holiday season runs Nov. 13 through Jan. 6, 2027, but a lot starts before that, according to Attractions Magazine.
Holiday overlays for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Alien Swirling Saucers at Hollywood Studios start Nov. 4. Disney Jollywood Nights begins Nov. 7, and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party starts at Magic Kingdom on Nov. 8. EPCOT's Festival of the Holidays runs Nov. 27 through Dec. 30.
Some of the decorating has already happened. Holiday stars, lights and banners went up at Hollywood Studios this week, and World of Disney at Disney Springs was fully decked out for Christmas before Halloween even arrived.
Where can you see Christmas trees at Disney World?
Pretty much everywhere. Each theme park gets its own big tree, and every Disney resort hotel has a tree in its lobby, Attractions Magazine noted.
Disney Springs also brings back its Christmas Tree Stroll, with trees themed to Disney characters and stories. Bluey and Monsters, Inc. are among this year's themes, and the stroll is free to walk.
What's new for the holidays at Disney World in 2026?
Rides are getting in on it. The newly Muppet-themed Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Alien Swirling Saucers both get holiday overlays at Hollywood Studios starting Nov. 4, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind switches to its holiday remix at EPCOT on Nov. 25.
The parties are already filling up. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has 25 nights this year, and 11 were sold out as of Oct. 21, Attractions Magazine reported. Jollywood Nights has 15 nights, and two of those are gone.
Animal Kingdom decorates its Asia and Africa lands and puts winter animal touches around Discovery Island, but DinoLand U.S.A. won't get holiday decor this year.
If the usual timing holds, the Magic Kingdom tree will be standing in Town Square within the week.
