Mickey and Minnie ear headbands went from $36.99 to $38.99 at Disney World, Disneyland and Disney Store. Spirit Jerseys climbed from $79.99 to $84.99 as Disney’s yearly October price hikes rolled in.
The two things everybody seems to buy on a Disney trip just got more expensive.
Ear headbands at Walt Disney World now cost $38.99, up from $36.99, WDW News Today reported on Oct. 6. Disneyland ears went to the same price, the site reported a day later. And Spirit Jerseys, the oversized pullovers you see on half the people in line for Space Mountain, went from $79.99 to $84.99 at Disney World, MickeyBlog reported.
That’s a 5.4% bump on ears and 6.3% on Spirit Jerseys.
How much do Disney ears cost now?
Standard Mickey and Minnie ear headbands are $38.99 at both U.S. resorts and online. Disney Store raised its price first, in late September, and the parks caught up the first week of October.
Specialty ears still run higher. BaubleBar’s Disney ears were $44.99 on Disney Store Friday night, and a Loungefly balloon pair was $46.99.
For a family of four in matching ears, that’s $155.96 before tax. Eight bucks more than last month, which buys, well, not much at Disney World anymore.
How much is a Spirit Jersey at Disney World?
MickeyBlog compared the same Disney World design a day apart: $79.99 on Oct. 5, $84.99 on Oct. 6. WDW News Today’s price lists for the new Christmas collections at both resorts show the holiday Spirit Jerseys at $84.99 too.
The online store followed. MickeyBlog listed three new holiday Spirit Jerseys on Disney Store at $79.99 on Oct. 5. When we checked Disney Store on the night of Oct. 9, all three were $84.99:
Mickey Mouse Icon “Merry Christmas” Spirit Jersey for Adults
Walt Disney World Christmas Spirit Jersey for Adults
Disneyland Christmas Spirit Jersey for Adults
Some designs cost more than that. A Halloween Mickey and Minnie Spirit Jersey was $89.99, and the Alice in Wonderland 75th anniversary version was $99.99.
Ears plus a Spirit Jersey, the unofficial Disney uniform, now comes to $123.98. Last month it was $116.98.
Which Disney World souvenirs didn’t go up?
Not everything moved. MickeyBlog found that light-up souvenirs kept their old prices, and so did MagicBand+ bands and pins.
Magnets and keychains did go up, by $1 in both of their price tiers.
Why does Disney raise prices every October?
Timing. Disney’s fiscal year ends in late September or early October, and fiscal 2026 ended Oct. 3. New prices tend to land right after.
This year’s round started Oct. 6 and hit far more than souvenirs. Disney World’s priciest one-day, one-park ticket for late 2027 is now $229, WDW News Today reported, and a one-day Park Hopper on the most expensive day runs $301.
Annual Pass prices went up across all four tiers. Food went up too, mostly by 10 cents to $1 an item.
What else costs more at Disney World this month?
Pirates & Princesses has been tracking it all week:
Coffee: a cup in the parks now costs $4.99.
Character dining: prices went up at 11 restaurants.
Bottled drinks: Annual Passholders, DVC members and Disney Visa cardholders can no longer use their merchandise discount on bottled water and soda in park shops.
That last one matters here, a little. The merchandise discount still applies to most souvenirs, ears and Spirit Jerseys included, so passholders and cardholders get some of that $2 and $5 back.
Everybody else gets to decide whether the plaid holiday ears are worth $38.99. They’re very cute ears, for the record.
