Floridians can save up to 30% at select Disney World hotels from Jan. 3 to April 29, 2027. Disney also stretched its bounceback deal to Dec. 23, 2027, but one new hotel is left out.
Florida residents, your Disney World staycation just got cheaper. Disney has a new Florida resident room discount of up to 30% for select nights from Jan. 3 to April 29, 2027.
WDW News Today and BlogMickey both reported the offer Thursday, Nov. 5. It’s bookable now online or by phone at (407) 939-5277.
Disney also pushed its bounceback offer for current hotel guests out to Dec. 23, 2027. That one has an exclusion that’s getting attention, and we’ll get to it.
How much is the Disney World Florida resident discount?
It depends on the hotel and the dates. The offer runs in two bands, per WDWNT.
Feb. 28 to April 29, 2027 (most nights): 30%, 25% or 20% off
Jan. 3 to Feb. 25, 2027 (most Sunday to Thursday nights): 25%, 20% or 15% off
The deepest cut, up to 30%, goes to most Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club villa resorts. That list includes the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Yacht Club, BoardWalk, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Riviera and Saratoga Springs. Fort Wilderness Cabins are in that group too.
The middle tier, up to 25%, covers the Polynesian, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans Riverside and the Art of Animation Family Suites.
The lowest tier, up to 20%, includes All-Star Resorts, Pop Century, standard Art of Animation rooms and Port Orleans French Quarter.
Yes, the Polynesian is a Deluxe sitting in the middle tier. BlogMickey caught that too.
What are the rules for the Florida resident hotel deal?
You’ll need proof of Florida residency at check-in. Stays run one to 14 nights. The deal can’t be combined with other discounts, and it doesn’t include park tickets.
Some rooms are left out, including three-bedroom villas, Copper Creek Cabins and the Polynesian’s bungalows, penthouses and tower villas. Fort Wilderness campsites aren’t included in January and February.
BlogMickey says Disney hasn’t posted a booking deadline and that rooms are limited. So if you see a rate you like for your dates, it may not sit there forever.
What is the Disney World bounceback offer?
It’s the deal Disney sends you while you’re already on vacation. If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you get an email the morning you check out. You then have seven days to book a future stay.
Disney’s offer page says you can “Save up to 35% on rooms at select Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts.” Select Moderate hotels get up to 30% and select Value hotels up to 25%, according to Kenny the Pirate and WDWNT.
The offer used to end Oct. 31, 2027.
Now it runs through Dec. 23, 2027, with two new windows: Oct. 25 to Nov. 24 and Nov. 28 to Dec. 23. Thanksgiving and the Christmas rush are blacked out.
What hotel is excluded from the bounceback offer?
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, the new Deluxe Villa resort on Bay Lake. Kenny the Pirate reports that “All room types” there are excluded, and Disney’s own offer page lists it as left out too.
That’s the “major exclusion” people are talking about. It’s also not much of a shock. A brand-new hotel tends to fill up without much help.
Other exclusions include campsites, three-bedroom villas, Copper Creek Cabins, the Polynesian’s bungalows and Island Tower, and suites at Moderate and Deluxe hotels.
Sources disagree on how you book. Kenny the Pirate says it’s phone only, while Disney Tourist Blog says online or by phone. Try the app first, then call.
Is the Florida resident discount or the bounceback deal better?
If you’re a Florida resident with a stay already on the books, compare both. The bounceback tops out at 35% at Deluxe hotels, which beats 30%.
But the bounceback only works if you’re checking out of a Disney hotel soon. The Florida resident deal works for anyone with a Florida address, and it covers prime spring dates when Disney World’s weather is about as good as it gets.
When is the best time for a Florida resident Disney trip in 2027?
Look at Feb. 28 onward. That’s when the 30% tier kicks in on most nights.
Spring break crowds do pick up in March, so you’re trading a bigger discount for busier parks. Early January, after the holiday crowds leave, is quieter, but the discount is smaller and mostly limited to weeknights.
Either way, price your dates both ways and grab the lower one.
