The Cake Bake Shop at Disney's BoardWalk is charging $15 for a slice of its Georgia pecan pie. Order the whole pie with 72 hours' notice and it's $96, or $12 a slice if you cut it eight ways.
The Cake Bake Shop hits sky-high pricing again!
A slice of pecan pie at Disney World costs $15. That's the price at The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers on Disney's BoardWalk, where Disney Food Blog reviewed the Southern-style slice on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Here's the math DFB skipped. The Cake Bake Shop's website sells the whole Georgia Pecan Pie for $96, with pickup at Disney's BoardWalk. That's the price of 6.4 slices. Cut a whole pie into eight pieces at home, and each one works out to $12.
AllEars ran its own $15 pie review the same day, under a headline telling readers to go ahead and add the $8 ice cream too. The bakery sells homemade ice cream by the scoop. If that $8 is a scoop from the same counter, pie a la mode comes to $23 before tax.
DFB liked what it got. The reviewer called the slice "absolutely loaded with pecans," with a thick filling that didn't ooze everywhere.
The complaints: the crust gets lost under all that filling, and the sweetness builds after a few bites. DFB wished it came with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. It also said one slice is big enough for two people, which brings it down to $7.50 each.
What's in the Cake Bake Shop pecan pie?
Pecans, mostly. The bakery chops some and leaves others whole for texture, bakes them in its all-butter crust and finishes the top with raw brown sugar for crunch, according to its website.
Gwendolyn Rogers writes that her grandmother, Marie Antoinette Gremillion LeBlanc, made the pie for her growing up. The site also calls it "a version of The Swan House in Georgia," without explaining further. The pie contains milk, wheat, soy and pecans.
Is the pecan pie new at The Cake Bake Shop?
DFB called it new to the menu. It may be more of a comeback. Dad's Guide to WDW listed a Georgia Pecan Pie among the bakery's pie slices in April 2025.
The whole pecan pie isn't marked seasonal on the shop's website. The pumpkin pie is, and it's sold in November and December only.
How does $15 compare with other Cake Bake Shop desserts?
For this bakery, $15 is on the low end. Here's what other items have cost, according to AllEars and MickeyBlog reviews:
Blueberry Crumble Pie: $17 a slice (AllEars, February 2026)
Lemon Curd Cheesecake: $17 a slice (AllEars, February 2026)
Hummingbird and Coconut Passion Fruit cakes: $22 a slice (AllEars, summer 2026)
Daily Filled Croissant: $16 (AllEars, summer 2026)
Key Lime Pie on opening day: $14.99 a slice (MickeyBlog, October 2024)
So the pecan slice costs a dollar less than a croissant at the same counter. Down the BoardWalk, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs sells its new Cocoa Pebbles fried marshmallows on a stick for $8.
Can you order a whole Cake Bake Shop pie for Thanksgiving?
Yes. The shop takes pie orders for pickup at Disney's BoardWalk with 72 hours' notice. Here are the whole-pie prices on its website:
Peanut Butter Mousse Pie: $130
Georgia Pecan Pie: $96
Apple Crumble Pie: $96
Key Lime Pie: $72
Pumpkin Pie: $72, November and December only
Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 26. By our count, a Thanksgiving pickup means ordering by Monday, Nov. 23, at the latest. Check holiday hours before you count on it.
What else is The Cake Bake Shop doing for the holidays?
Dinner with Santa is back on Nov. 24, Dec. 1, Dec. 8 and Dec. 15. It costs $200 per adult and $150 per child 12 and under, before tax and a 24% gratuity, the shop's website says.
That covers an entree, a seasonal dessert, a family photo with Santa and a gift to take home. Payment is due when your reservation is confirmed, and it's non-refundable. Last year's dinner went waitlist-only within about a week, ResortsGal reported.
Where is The Cake Bake Shop at Disney World?
On Disney's BoardWalk, an easy walk from EPCOT's International Gateway. You don't need a park ticket to visit. The bakery side opened in October 2024, and it's a walk-up counter, separate from the sit-down restaurant.
The Cake Bake Shop opened in Indianapolis' Broad Ripple neighborhood in 2014 and added a shop in Carmel, Indiana, in 2021. The BoardWalk spot is its third location and its only one in Florida.
