Disney World's holiday novelty lineup is official: three popcorn buckets, a Stitch Christmas tree sipper, two straw clips and a cocktail cup. Last year's $29 party-only Christmas tree truck bucket is now for daytime guests at Animal Kingdom.
Disney World's holiday popcorn bucket lineup is official, and one of last year's party exclusives just got a promotion.
Disney revealed seven holiday novelties on Wednesday, Nov. 4: three popcorn buckets, a Stitch Christmas Tree Sipper, two straw clips and a cocktail served in a souvenir cup. The first wave lands Friday, Nov. 6, and the rest follow over the weekend.
The surprise is the Holiday Christmas Tree Truck Bucket. It debuted at last year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, where it cost $29 and lit up, WDWNT and MickeyBlog reported at the time. This year it's sold to regular daytime guests at Animal Kingdom. No party ticket needed.
Disney hasn't released prices yet. Each item has a limit of two per person, per transaction, while supplies last. Buckets come filled with popcorn, and the sipper comes with any fountain drink.
What holiday popcorn buckets are coming to Disney World?
Three buckets, three parks, and one of them needs a party ticket.
Toy Story Gingerbread House Bucket (Nov. 6): A gingerbread house with Woody, Bo Peep and other Toy Story pals. It's sold at select outdoor vending spots in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. BlogMickey noted it's the only bucket sold in two parks.
Holiday Christmas Tree Truck Bucket (Nov. 6): Mickey drives a red truck while Goofy, Chip and Dale wrangle a Christmas tree in the back. Select outdoor vending in Animal Kingdom.
Holiday Train Bucket (Nov. 8): A Mickey Christmas train with Pluto and a reindeer. Magic Kingdom outdoor vending, during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party only.
The Toy Story bucket first showed up in a Hong Kong Disneyland preview in September, WDWNT reported, and nobody knew if it would come stateside. Now we know.
The train looks a lot like the Mickey locomotive that turned up on the Disney Wish this week. A guest video showed that one rolling across the counter after someone pressed the smokestack, WDWNT reported. Disney hasn't said whether Disney World's train moves or lights up. Disneyland's holiday guide lists a "Mickey Train Light Up Bucket" for its season.
Where can you buy the Stitch Christmas Tree Sipper?
Pretty much everywhere. Stitch dresses up as a Christmas tree and holds a candy cane, and he's the only novelty sold in all four parks. He arrives Nov. 6.
Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe
EPCOT: Connections Eatery and Regal Eagle Smokehouse
Hollywood Studios: Fairfax Fare, ABC Commissary, Backlot Express and select outdoor vending
Animal Kingdom: select outdoor vending
Cosmic Ray's is also hosting the new Stitchmas! dance party at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party this year. Stitch is basically running Tomorrowland now.
Which straw clips and cups are party exclusives?
Both straw clips and the cocktail cup need a party ticket. The clips are add-ons to any non-alcoholic drink.
Holiday Wreath Straw Clip (Nov. 8): A Minnie wreath clip at Casey's Corner in Magic Kingdom, during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
Holiday Kermit Straw Clip (Nov. 7): Rosie's All-American Cafe and Catalina Eddie's at Hollywood Studios, during Disney Jollywood Nights. It's new to Disney World, but WDWNT pointed out it debuted at Disneyland Resort back in 2022.
The Bauble & Bright (Nov. 7): A cocktail at Tune-In Lounge during Jollywood Nights, served in a souvenir cup while supplies last. It mixes Teremana Blanco Tequila, Grand Marnier, white cranberry juice, lime juice and glitter simple syrup, with a cranberry garnish.
Glitter syrup and The Rock's tequila brand in one cup. That's a holiday mood.
When do Disney World's holiday parties start?
Disney Jollywood Nights opens at Hollywood Studios on Saturday, Nov. 7. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party starts the next night at Magic Kingdom and runs on select nights through Dec. 22.
Christmas party tickets run $189 to $229 plus tax, depending on the night, according to Disney World's site. Most nights have already sold out. So if the Holiday Train Bucket is on your list, you'll need one of the leftover dates.
How do you get a Disney holiday popcorn bucket before it sells out?
Go early on launch day. Everything is sold "while supplies last," so there's no promise any of it sticks around all season.
Look for outdoor popcorn carts, not shops. The buckets are sold at select outdoor vending spots, and Disney hasn't said which carts will carry them.
And if you missed last year's Christmas Tree Truck at the party, this is your second chance, minus the $189 ticket.
