The little green aliens are getting into the Christmas spirit. Or at least their DJ is.
Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will play a holiday playlist from Nov. 4 to Jan. 6, Disney announced Tuesday, Oct. 6. Lilypad, the frog-shaped smart tablet from Toy Story 5, runs the music.
“We played with these toys as kids. Now we get to play with them as Imagineers. It doesn’t get better than that,” said Geoff Line, senior story lead at Walt Disney Imagineering, in Disney’s post about the ride’s new soundtrack.
What holiday songs play on Alien Swirling Saucers?
Four of them, according to the Disney Parks Blog:
“Deck the Halls”
“Toyland”
“Swirling, Swirling, Saucers”
“Joy to the Swirl”
Disney calls them “new takes on festive favorites.” Two of the four titles are swirl puns, which feels right for a ride that spins you in circles.
Who is Lilypad from Toy Story 5?
The new toy in the backyard, and a techy one. Disney describes Lilypad as “a spirited, frog-shaped smart tablet on a mission to connect friends.”
Greta Lee voices her in Toy Story 5, which Andrew Stanton directed with co-director Kenna Harris. The movie hit theaters June 19 and started streaming on Disney+ on Sept. 23.

When did Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams open?
Friday, Sept. 25. That’s when Lilypad took over the ride’s music with a new soundtrack of remixed Toy Story songs and brand-new ones written for the attraction.
Imagineers recorded it in Nashville with musicians working across pop, country, EDM and alt-rock, Disney said. The playlist remixes “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” “We Belong Together” and “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away,” and adds originals like “Pizza Planet Promo” and “Spin It Back, Lilypad.”
Thomas Niederhiser, senior creative producer at Walt Disney Imagineering, said the goal was songs that are “singable, sincere and a little cheesy, as one is about Pizza Planet.”
Can you see Lilypad without riding Alien Swirling Saucers?
Yes. Lilypad DJs for everyone in the area, not just the people in the saucers, Disney says.
Between songs, she introduces tracks, lets guests guess what she’s doodling on her drawing app, hands out puzzles to unscramble and plays “home videos” of other Toy Story toys. That’s a lot of screen time for a frog.
What other rides get holiday music at Disney World in 2026?
A few, and Hollywood Studios has two of them. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay runs on the same dates, Nov. 4 to Jan. 6, with holiday songs from the Electric Mayhem.
Over at EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind adds three holiday tracks from Nov. 25 to Jan. 6. And the Jingle Cruise is back at Magic Kingdom.
The Saucers playlist starts the same day as the Muppets coaster, so Hollywood Studios gets two holiday soundtracks at once.
Is Tim Allen still the voice of Buzz Lightyear?
Yes. Tim Allen voiced Buzz again in Toy Story 5, alongside Tom Hanks as Woody, Joan Cusack as Jessie and Tony Hale as Forky.
Buzz, Woody and Jessie all show up in Toy Story Land, too. During the holidays, Disney dresses them in seasonal outfits for photos in the backyard.
So Lilypad gets the turntables, and the old crew gets the sweaters.
