Grand Floridian Cafe reopens Monday at Disney World after a three-and-a-half-month refresh, with a $19 club sandwich, a $21 Cobb salad and an $8 apple butter cinnamon roll.
Disney World’s Grand Floridian Cafe is back in business. The table-service restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa reopens Monday, Nov. 2, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, WDWNT reported.
It’s been closed since July 20 for what Disney called a refresh. That’s about three and a half months of Grand Floridian guests heading upstairs for brunch instead.
Disney Eats teased the reopening on Instagram with a line WDWNT shared: “Grand new flavors are flourishing over at the Grand Floridian Cafe.”
What’s new on the Grand Floridian Cafe menu?
Disney Eats highlighted four dishes with prices, per WDWNT:
Apple Butter Cinnamon Roll with cinnamon caramel crumb, $8
The Club, with house-roasted turkey, carved ham, bacon, herbed cheese spread and crispy onions on tomato focaccia, with house-seasoned steak fries, $19
Cobb Salad with romaine, turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, egg, blue cheese and Cobb dressing, $21
Fried Green Tomatoes, plant-based, with remoulade, $12
Disney called one of the four a “returning favorite” but didn’t say which. Our money’s on the cinnamon roll.
What else is on the Grand Floridian Cafe menu now?
The WDW Expert went through the posted menus in October and found a much bigger lineup. Menus and prices can change. Treat these as a preview:
Brunch: miso-glazed salmon, $32; a Grand Floridian Cafe signature burger, $27; traditional eggs Benedict, $18; and an heirloom apple salad starting at $13.
Updated favorites: steak and eggs is now a 10-ounce New York strip with a cheesy hash brown casserole for $28, up a dollar. The fried chicken and waffle now comes on a malted waffle with a sriracha-honey drizzle.
Dinner: a salmon power bowl, $28; buttermilk-fried chicken, $31; and a grilled New York strip, $42.
New desserts include an orange creme brulee, a seasonal fruit cobbler and a key lime meringue dome. Prices for those weren’t listed.
Why did Grand Floridian Cafe close?
Disney’s construction bulletin said that “from mid-July through October 2026, Grand Floridian Cafe will temporarily close for a refresh,” as quoted by Disney Tourist Blog. WDWNT called it an extensive refurbishment.
The reopening ran a couple of days past “through October,” which in Disney time is basically on schedule.
While it was closed, its brunch moved upstairs to Citricos, which served it from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
What does the new Grand Floridian Cafe look like?
Disney has shared first-look photos, and WDWMagic posted a look at the dining room Sunday. We haven’t seen a detailed rundown of the new decor yet, so we’ll leave the colors and carpet to the photos.
The cafe sits on the ground floor of the Grand Floridian’s main building, off the lobby, with views of the resort’s gardens.
Can you make reservations at Grand Floridian Cafe?
Yes. Dinner reservations opened in early September, and breakfast and lunch bookings opened in October, according to Disney by Mark and WDWMagic. You can book through the My Disney Experience app or Disney World’s website.
What else is new at the Grand Floridian?
A lot. The resort’s main building has been in a long renovation since spring 2025, Disney Tourist Blog reported.
The lobby makeover wrapped up with a new lounge opening around Christmas 2025. The Garden View Lounge reopened in early March 2026 after being closed more than six years.
Work on the covered entrance out front is still going, and Disney has said it will run “through early 2027.”
The resort made news for a different reason last week, too. PNP reported Oct. 30 on a Disney property tax settlement that lowered the Grand Floridian’s assessed value.
The Grand Floridian’s big gingerbread house goes up in the lobby every holiday season, so the timing for the cafe’s return is pretty great. Grab a cinnamon roll and go stare at the frosting.
