Magic Kingdom stays open until 11 p.m. on Nov. 7, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure closes Nov. 2 and the Christmas parties begin. Here’s what changes at Disney World in November 2026.
November is when Disney World flips from pumpkins to presents, and this year a lot happens in the first week.
Disney has extended park hours for Nov. 1 through Nov. 7 at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, WDWMagic reported Sunday, Oct. 18. A headliner closes for refurbishment, holiday ride overlays arrive and both Christmas parties start the same weekend.
Here’s a last look at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure before it closes, from Disney Parks:
Which Disney World parks have longer hours Nov. 1 to Nov. 7?
Three of the four, according to WDWMagic:
Magic Kingdom: Saturday, Nov. 7, now runs 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., an hour later than before.
Animal Kingdom: Nov. 1 and Nov. 7 now run 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 2, 5 and 6 run 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. All five used to close at 6 p.m.
Hollywood Studios: Nov. 7 opens at 8:30 a.m., 30 minutes earlier. It still closes at 7 p.m. for Jollywood Nights.
EPCOT runs 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. all week, WDWMagic said. Disney Resort hotel guests get Early Entry 30 minutes before opening at every park.
Disney hasn’t said why it added the hours. Inside the Magic noted that the first week of November lines up with “Jersey Week,” when some New Jersey families travel during a statewide teachers’ convention.
When does Tiana’s Bayou Adventure close?
Monday, Nov. 2. Walt Disney World’s refurbishment calendar lists it reopening Friday, Dec. 18, BlogMickey reported. That’s about six and a half weeks.
It’s the ride’s first refurbishment since it opened in Frontierland on June 28, 2024, replacing Splash Mountain. The exit shop, Tiana’s Bayou General, closes too.
The ride’s Audio-Animatronics and other effects have struggled since it opened, BlogMickey noted. The site hopes the closure gives crews time to refresh them.
That means no Tiana’s over Thanksgiving, Nov. 26. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which reopened in May, is nearby if you need a Frontierland fix.
What holiday ride overlays start in November?
Two arrive at Hollywood Studios on Wednesday, Nov. 4, Disney Parks Blog said.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay puts The Electric Mayhem on a holiday playlist. Songs include “Silver Bells” with Cyndi Lauper and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” with Jennifer Hudson.
Alien Swirling Saucers also gets new holiday tunes from DJ Lilypad. Both run through Jan. 6, 2027.
Over at EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind adds three holiday songs to its track list starting Wednesday, Nov. 25.
When do the Disney World Christmas parties start?
The same weekend. Disney Jollywood Nights opens at Hollywood Studios on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts at Magic Kingdom on Sunday, Nov. 8.
Both opening nights are already sold out. On Nov. 8, Magic Kingdom is scheduled to close to day guests at 6 p.m., WDWMagic said, so plan around the party.
When does the holiday season start at Disney World?
Friday, Nov. 13. The resort’s holiday celebration runs through Jan. 6, 2027, with Christmas decor, festive food and characters in holiday outfits, Disney Parks Blog said.
Magic Kingdom brings back the Jingle Cruise and “Frozen Holiday Surprise!,” where Elsa turns Cinderella Castle into a glowing ice palace. Disney Springs gets nightly “snowfall” in Town Center, WFTV reported.
When does EPCOT Food & Wine end?
The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival wraps up Saturday, Nov. 21, according to Disney Parks Blog.
After a short break, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays takes over from Friday, Nov. 27, through Dec. 30. The Candlelight Processional returns during the festival, too.
Is November a good time to visit Disney World?
It’s a mixed bag. You get Food & Wine, early holiday decor and the parties, but you’ll also lose Tiana’s and some evening hours at Magic Kingdom on party nights.
Check Disney’s official calendar before you go. Hours can still change, and Disney sometimes adjusts them as dates get closer.
