Disney World's Powerline Max show moves off Main Street for MNSSHP 2026
Max Goof’s Powerline dance party is now a stationary stage show in Adventureland instead of the roaming Main Street pre-parade it was last year, WDW News Today reported from the season’s opening night.
Max Goof is still standing out at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. He’s just doing it somewhere else.
WDW News Today found Max performing his Powerline set on a fixed stage in Adventureland during the season’s first party on August 7, backed by his Powerline Party Pack and four dancers in bright ‘90s outfits.
Last year the same act worked Main Street, U.S.A. as a roaming pre-parade, warming up the crowd ahead of Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade. The roaming part is gone.
What changed about the Powerline Max show at Magic Kingdom
Max still wears the yellow Powerline-inspired costume from A Goofy Movie, the one that shows up in the concert finale where he ends up onstage next to Goofy.
What’s different is the geography. WDWNT’s photos put Max and four dancers on the pirate-themed stage in Adventureland, a conventional set-and-perform show rather than a moving party.
Guests no longer have to stake out a spot on Main Street or along the parade route to catch it. That’s a real upgrade for anyone who’s ever tried to hold curb space at a Not-So-Scary party in August.
It also means one fewer thing happening on Main Street before the parade steps off.
Powerline has been at Not-So-Scary since 2022
The bit isn’t new. Max debuted the Powerline look at the 2022 party and performed with dancers on Main Street on and off since then, which makes this the fifth Halloween season for a costume built around a movie that came out in 1995.
Powerline has had a long second life lately. The character keeps resurfacing in merchandise, in park entertainment, and in the general ‘90s-nostalgia churn, and Disney has been happy to keep feeding it.
Moving the show to a stage is the sort of change that usually comes down to staffing, sightlines, or crowd flow rather than anything dramatic. Disney hasn’t said which.
Opening night cost $159, the most expensive party in August
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party started earlier this year than it ever has. August 7 is the opening night, and party-ticket calendars put it at $159 per person before tax.
The next two parties, on August 11 and August 14, run $119. So opening night carries a $40 premium over the parties eleven and fourteen days later, about 34 percent more for a night in the same month with the same heat.
Disney’s own event page lists the full range at $119 to $229 depending on date, with 38 party nights running through October 31. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members save $10 on nights through October 2.
None of which is a scandal. Opening night always prices up, people pay for being first, and Disney would be leaving money on the table if it didn’t charge for that.
It’s just the night the Main Street pre-parade quietly turned into an Adventureland stage show.
What else is at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2026
The Boo-to-You parade still runs twice a night. The Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks are back, the Sanderson Sisters still host their stage show, and Disney has added a Stitch, Lilo, and Angel masquerade in Tomorrowland this year.
Party hours are 7:00 p.m. to midnight, with ticket holders allowed into Magic Kingdom starting at 4:00 p.m.
Thirty-eight nights is a long season, and Disney adjusts entertainment inside it all the time. Whether Max stays in Adventureland through Halloween is the kind of thing that gets decided somewhere around the third week of September, and announced to nobody.
