Disneyland Resort has confirmed three pieces of entertainment returning in 2027, and people saw one of them coming down a public street before the announcement landed.
“Magic Happens” returns to Disneyland Park in summer 2027.
Its floats were photographed being transported through the streets of Anaheim this weekend on their way back to the resort, which is the least subtle way a parade has ever announced itself.
When does Magic Happens return to Disneyland?

The parade features Mickey Mouse leading a procession built around Disney and Pixar stories, with sequences drawn from “Cinderella,” “The Sword in the Stone” and “Coco.” Disney describes it as stunning floats, artistic costumes and imaginative music, which is the language every parade press release uses and in this case is defensible.
“Magic Happens” debuted in 2020 and had its run cut short almost immediately by the park closures that year. It came back later, went away again, and has been one of the most requested returns among Disneyland regulars ever since.
What nighttime shows are coming back to Disneyland?
Two, and both arrive in February 2027.
“Remember… Dreams Come True” returns to Disneyland Park in a refreshed version. The new staging puts projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Rivers of America, “it’s a small world” and Main Street, U.S.A., with fireworks on select evenings. Disney says the show is about the power of wishes and dreams in favorite Disney stories.
“World of Color” returns to Disney California Adventure in an updated version built around stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar.
Putting both nighttime spectaculars back in February gives the resort a full slate months before the parade arrives.
Why do these shows keep going away and coming back?
Rotation, mostly, and it is deliberate.
Disneyland cycles its nighttime entertainment in a way Walt Disney World generally does not. Shows get shelved, refreshed and brought back, which keeps the slate feeling new for annual passholders who visit constantly and creates a reason to return for people who only come every few years.
The cost is that any given show is usually unavailable to somebody who wants it. The benefit is that the returns land as events.
Is Paint the Night coming back?

The nighttime parade slot at Disneyland has rotated between “Paint the Night” and the “Main Street Electrical Parade” over the years, and neither is on the 2027 list so far.
What else is happening at Disneyland in 2027?
Construction, and a lot of it.
The resort is in the middle of its DisneylandForward expansion, the $1.9 billion commitment approved in 2024, and the park has several projects in progress including the new Coco-themed attraction, which recently saw an opening day structure removed to make room for construction.
Three returning shows in a single year is also a signal about where Disneyland sits in the company’s priorities right now. Entertainment is expensive to stage and the first thing cut when a resort is managing costs, so bringing back a parade and two nighttime spectaculars in the same twelve months reads as confidence.
Specific dates within February and summer have not been announced, and Disney typically releases those closer to the season along with any dining package or viewing information.
