The first Magic Key-only mixology course teaches the Millionaire's Manhattan at Disney California Adventure on six January dates for $55 a person. The Trader Sam's mixology seminar this month costs $179.
Disneyland Magic Key holders are getting their own bar class. The first-ever Magic Key exclusive mixology course comes to the Magic Key Terrace at Disney California Adventure on six dates in January 2027, for $55 plus tax per guest.
That's less than a third of the $179 Disneyland charges for its mixology seminar at Trader Sam's this month. Cheaper, shorter and members only.
Disneyland posted the course on its Magic Key extras page this week, and WDW News Today reported it Nov. 6. Reservations aren't open yet. Disneyland says booking opens soon and tells key holders to watch the Magic Key Instagram and Facebook pages for the date.
Here's a look at the Magic Key Terrace at Disney California Adventure:
What do you make in the Magic Key mixology class?
One drink: the Millionaire's Manhattan, the Terrace's signature cocktail. It's Old Forester bourbon, MacMurray Estate Pinot Noir and simple syrup, finished with a charred cinnamon stick. Bartenders teach it the way they mix it for Terrace regulars.
Magic Key holders who take the class also go home with a Magic Key Terrace glass designed by artist Jeff Granito. It's covered in colorful Disney California Adventure art, including the Pixar Pal-A-Round, the Incredicoaster and Pixar Pier, WDWNT reported.
Fine print: the glass goes to the Magic Key holder. Your plus-ones get the lesson.
When is the Magic Key mixology course and how much is it?
Dates: Jan. 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17, 2027, which is two Friday-through-Sunday weekends
Time: Noon, running no more than one hour
Price: $55 plus tax per guest, so a full party of four is $220 plus tax
Age: 21 and older
Party size: Up to four guests per reservation, one reservation per Magic Key holder per day
The Magic Key holder has to make the booking and show up. Check-in means showing the pass in the Disneyland app plus a valid photo ID. Everyone also needs a park reservation and valid admission for Disney California Adventure that day.
Disneyland says the course can change or be canceled without notice. Noon is an interesting slot, too. The Terrace's regular lunch service doesn't start until 2 p.m., according to its dining page.
What other Magic Key perks are new right now?
The class isn't the only addition. Disneyland's Magic Key page also lists these offers:
Winter hotel deal: Up to 25% off Standard and Premium rooms at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the Disneyland Hotel, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel on Sunday through Thursday nights, Jan. 4 to Feb. 25, 2027. Booking opened Nov. 3 and runs through Feb. 17.
Fall hotel deal: Up to 15% off the same four hotels on Sunday through Thursday nights through Dec. 18. Book by Dec. 15.
Aulani: Up to 30% off select rooms, including ocean and partial ocean views, for stays of five nights or more, or up to 25% off four-night stays, most nights Jan. 3 to March 31, 2027. Book by March 27.
Pizza combo: A Magic Key-only artisanal-style personal pepperoni pizza with a fountain drink at Alien Pizza Planet, by mobile order in the Disneyland app.
Haunted Mansion Holiday cards: Cards three and four of the free lenticular set drop Monday, Nov. 9, and Monday, Nov. 16, while supplies last. We covered the set when Disneyland announced it in October.
How is this different from the Trader Sam's mixology seminar?
Mostly price. Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel runs its mixology seminar Nov. 16 and Nov. 18 at 3, 5 and 8 p.m. It's $179 per adult plus tax and tip, capped at 38 guests and open to anyone 21 and up.
That ticket buys a 45-minute class, a 45-minute reception with snacks and live island music, and a Nightmare Before Christmas mug to take home. The Magic Key class is one drink, one glass and one hour. Pick your vibe.
What is the Magic Key Terrace?
It's the members-only lounge in the lofts above the Golden Vine Winery, with views of Avengers Campus, Cars Land and San Fransokyo Square. Magic Key holders can bring up to five guests, and the holder has to stay for the whole visit.
The regular menu leans on specialty cocktails, beer, wine and light bites. Disneyland lists average adult entrees at $15 to $34.99.
The Magic Key discount covers food and non-alcoholic drinks only, and there's a limit of two alcoholic drinks per transaction. So no, your pass won't knock anything off the Manhattan.
