Disneyland Paris has laid out the next phase of its Disney Village rebuild, and it is larger than the piecemeal updates that have trickled out over the last two years.
The headline is a restaurant. Casa Giulia opens by the end of 2026 with roughly 260 seats inside and another 120 on an outdoor terrace.
What is Casa Giulia at Disneyland Paris?
A two-story Italian restaurant run by Groupe Bertrand, built around seasonal menus and traditional Italian cooking.
It also carries a quick-service counter called Giulia Express, serving pizza, focaccia and pastries for anyone who wants to eat without a table and a wait.
At 380 total seats it is one of the larger dining rooms in Disney Village, which matters in a location where the evening dinner rush has been a long-running complaint.
What is happening to Annette’s Diner?
It is getting a full renovation and reopening in the first quarter of 2027.
The 1950s diner is a Disney Village original and the refurbishment is more thorough than a repaint. Expanded kitchens. A redesigned dining room with booth seating in pink, blue and vanilla yellow. A chrome service counter lit with neon-inspired fixtures.
The jukeboxes survive, restored and repositioned as wall features rather than floor pieces. The terrace reopens with new paving and landscaping.
Anyone who has eaten there will notice the kitchen expansion is listed first, which tends to be what a restaurant fixes when the problem was how long the food took.
Is the Rainforest Cafe really closing?
Yes, permanently, by the end of 2026.
It is the second Rainforest Cafe to leave a Disney property, after the original at Disneyland closed in 2018. The jungle restaurant has been a Disney Village fixture since the 1990s.
What else is opening at Disney Village?
Disney Wonders, a new boutique, opens Tuesday, Sept. 22.
The shop is built around themed areas for Peter Pan, Star Wars and Toy Story, with illuminated chandeliers carrying more than 40 illustrations and transaction areas themed to Disney and Pixar.
The Pathé cinema gets a comprehensive refurbishment in 2027, including a new façade designed by Ora-ïto, recliner seating, upgraded projection, an expanded Pathé Café, a reworked Häagen-Dazs area with its own terrace and a new Pathé Games space.
Vapiano is being redesigned inside between late 2026 and early 2027, with a contemporary color palette, better natural light, a children’s play area upstairs and new terrace furniture.
Why is Disney rebuilding Disney Village?
Disney Village sits outside the park gates and does not require park admission, which makes it the piece of the resort that competes directly with the rest of Paris.
A visitor choosing between dinner in the Village and dinner somewhere in Marne-la-Vallée is a visitor Disney can lose without them ever leaving the property. Bigger dining rooms, a refurbished cinema and a new retail anchor are all aimed at that decision.
The transformation has been running in phases since 2023 and has already delivered several new venues, with the cinema and Annette’s Diner representing the largest remaining pieces.
Most of this lands between now and spring 2027, which means anyone visiting Disneyland Paris in the next six months should expect construction walls somewhere in the Village on any given day.
