Costco’s Dole Whip eight-packs work out to about $1.31 a cup, while Disneyland charges $7.49 for one. Dole called this year’s Costco run a limited-time return, so we compared prices and flavors.
Dole Whip at Disneyland costs $7.49. At Costco, it’s about $1.31 a cup.
Costco’s Dole Whip popped up on MSN’s homepage this week as a freezer-aisle find. Costco has sold the cups since 2023, though, so it isn’t brand new.
What’s different this year is the flavor lineup, and the clock. Dole called Costco’s 2026 run a “limited time, seasonal return” in a February announcement.
How much is Dole Whip at Costco?
The Costco box is an eight-pack of 3.6-ounce dairy-free cups. The Takeout listed the new Tropical Guava Passion eight-pack at $10.49 in September.
That works out to about $1.31 a cup.
Costco’s price has bounced around over the years:
June 2023: $10.99 for the first pineapple eight-packs, SheKnows reported.
2024: $11.99 at a Costco in Hawaii, Costcuisine reported.
September 2026: $10.49 for Tropical Guava Passion, according to The Takeout.
Prices can vary by warehouse.
How much is Dole Whip at Disneyland and Disney World?
From Disney’s own menus, checked Oct. 12, before tax:
Disneyland, Tiki Juice Bar: $7.49 for the soft-serve, $7.19 for a cone, $7.99 for a float
Magic Kingdom, Aloha Isle: $5.99 for a cup, $7.29 for a float
Polynesian Village Resort, Pineapple Lanai: $5.99 for a cup, $14 with a rum floater
Yes, the Disneyland cone is 30 cents cheaper than the cup.
Is Costco Dole Whip cheaper than Disney’s?
By a lot. Our math, per serving:
One Disneyland Dole Whip costs about 5.7 times a Costco cup.
One Disney World cup costs about 4.6 times a Costco cup.
A single Disneyland Dole Whip is about 71% of the price of a whole Costco box.
Disneyland also charges $1.50 more than Disney World for basically the same cup.
For a family of four, one round at Disneyland comes to about $30 before tax. A Costco box feeds twice as many people for about a third of that.
One catch: Disney doesn’t post its serving size, so this compares serving to serving, not ounce to ounce.
Does Costco Dole Whip taste like the Disney version?
Close, but not the same, reviewers say.
Mickey Visit compared the Costco cups to the park version in 2024 and called them “not a mirror image of the Disneyland version.” That was before Dole changed the grocery recipe in 2025 and took out the coconut cream, Mickey Visit later reported.
Sporked reviewed the cups in August 2025 and gave Pineapple an 8.5 out of 10 and Mango a 7.
Reviewers cited by The Takeout called the guava cups “both icy and a little creamy.”
What Dole Whip flavors does Costco have?
Dole’s grocery line comes in Pineapple, Mango and Tropical Guava Passion, which is new for 2026.
The guava cups appear to be a Costco thing. Foodbeast reported in June that they’re only sold there, and Dole’s own website lists Tropical Guava Passion only as a 14-ounce tub.
Mango fans have a Disney World option right now too. Aloha Isle has a Dole Whip Mango and Chamoy Float for $7.49.
Is Costco Dole Whip going away?
Possibly soon. Dole’s own announcement on Feb. 24 called it a “limited time, seasonal return to Costco this spring.”
That same Foodbeast report said the cups would be at Costco “through the end of the season.”
As of Oct. 12, Warehouse Runner, an unaffiliated Costco price tracker, showed the guava cups marked down at dozens of warehouses and out of stock at many more. That’s usually how a seasonal item heads out, but Costco hasn’t said anything.
If you see a box, it might be your last shot for a while.
Where else can you buy Dole Whip?
Outside Costco, Dole Whip is in the ice cream aisle at stores including Target, Publix, Albertsons, Harris Teeter, Ralphs, Stop & Shop and Hannaford, Dole said. Dole’s website lists cups and 14-ounce tubs.
Dole first announced grocery-store Dole Whip in March 2023, Fortune reported. It went nationwide in four-packs of cups in June 2025, at a suggested $6.99, according to Refrigerated & Frozen Foods. That’s about $1.75 a cup.
How long has Dole Whip been at Disney?
Dole Whip debuted at Magic Kingdom’s Aloha Isle in 1984, when it was called “DOLE Pineapple Whip,” according to Disney Parks Blog.
Dole has sponsored Disneyland’s Enchanted Tiki Room since January 1976, according to D23. The Tiki Juice Bar sits right outside it.
Dole’s own video on 70 years of Disneyland:
Can you make Dole Whip at home?
Disney shared its own version in 2022, a “Frozen Pineapple Treat Inspired by DOLE Whip.” It blends:
2 cups frozen pineapple
1 cup dairy-free vanilla ice cream
1/2 to 3/4 cup pineapple juice
It makes four servings, according to Disney Parks Blog.
What are some fun facts about Dole Whip?
It used to have a longer name. “DOLE Pineapple Whip” got shortened over the years.
The Polynesian has the grown-up version. Pineapple Lanai’s Dole Whip with a rum floater costs $14, more than a whole Costco box.
The grocery cups are dairy-free. Dole says they’re made on a line that also handles milk, though.
None of these will get you the Tiki Room birds. But at $1.31, nobody’s complaining.
