Disney revealed all 35 pieces of its Gustaf Westman collab, from a pink Minnie sofa to a Pluto lamp. Prices for almost all of it are still a secret, and the online drop is Nov. 15 at noon ET.
Disney's cartoon-shaped furniture line just got a lot bigger, and a lot more glove-shaped.
The Disney Parks Blog revealed the full 35-piece Disney x Gustaf Westman collection on Thursday, Nov. 5. New additions include a Mickey Glove Sofa, a light pink Minnie Sofa, a Goofy Coffee Table and a full-length Pluto Mirror.
It all goes on sale online Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. Central European Time, which is noon ET, at gustafwestman.com, according to Westman's site. The Swedish designer's Tokyo pop-up runs this weekend, Nov. 6 to 8, in Harajuku.
Disney's post doesn't list a single price. That's worth knowing, because the first big piece Disney showed, the black leather Mickey Sofa, costs 9,250 euros, or about $10,340, as we reported Oct. 13.
What's in the Disney x Gustaf Westman collection?
Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto all get the Westman treatment: chunky shapes, glossy colors and very few straight lines. Disney's post sums up the look as "bright colors and playful proportions." Here's how it breaks down:
Kitchen and tableware: a Minnie Mouse Cup, Glass and Tumbler with pink polka dots and a bow, The DIS noted; a Mickey Plate, Glove Cup and Glass; a blue saucer and black cup shaped like Donald's sailor hat; and the Mickey Tumbler and Mickey Cup from October.
Furniture: Minnie Sofa, Mickey Sofa, Mickey Glove Sofa, Goofy Pouf, Mickey Dresser, Donald Shelf, Goofy Coffee Table and Mickey Bar Cart.
Mirrors and lights: Mickey Mirror, Minnie Mirror, Mickey Pipe Mirror, Pluto Mirror, Donald Candelabra and Pluto Lamp.
Small decor: Mickey Jewelry Box, Mickey Clock, a Mickey Trouser Vase inspired by his red shorts, a Goofy Vase inspired by his green hat and a Mickey Glove Hook for keys or bags.
That's close to 30 home pieces. Westman's site says the collection also includes apparel and accessories.
How much does the Disney x Gustaf Westman collection cost?
Only three prices are public so far, all in euros and all from the October reveal, Wallpaper reported:
Mickey Tumbler: 110 euros
Mickey Cup and saucer: 68 euros
Mickey Sofa: 9,250 euros
Westman's site still lists the Disney collection as "Coming Soon," with no prices for the new pieces. The furniture is made to order, according to Wallpaper.
If a one-seat Mickey sofa runs about $10,000, the Mickey Glove Sofa is probably not a stocking stuffer.
Where can you buy the Gustaf Westman Disney collection?
At pop-ups first, then online. Westman's site lists:
Tokyo: Nov. 6 to 8, in Harajuku
New York: Nov. 13 to 15, at 40 Renwick St. in Manhattan
Online: Nov. 15 at noon ET, on gustafwestman.com
Paris: December, at 10 Rue de Saintonge in the Marais
The New York pop-up is the only U.S. stop, and its last day lines up with the online launch.
That Paris date is a change. Wallpaper, and our October story, had the Paris pop-up running Oct. 30 to Nov. 1. Westman's site now lists December and doesn't say why.
Wallpaper also reported the line would sell through Beams in Japan, with some items at Disneyland Paris. Neither Disney's Nov. 5 post nor Westman's site mentions Walt Disney World, Disneyland or shopDisney. So don't go hunting for a Goofy Pouf at World of Disney.
Who is Gustaf Westman?
A Stockholm designer who trained as an architect and opened his studio in 2020, Wallpaper reported. He's known for glossy, oversized pieces like his Chunky Tumbler, the starting point for the Mickey Tumbler. He has also worked with Ikea and Nike.
Westman visited Disneyland Paris before designing the collection, Disney said. The campaign photos were shot there, too, Wallpaper reported.
