Disney's Lakeshore Lodge opens July 1, 2027, and summer guests should plan on at least $505 a night before tax.
That's the rack rate for a Duo Studio with a preferred view, the smallest room on property, Disney Tourist Blog found when it spot-checked dates from July through September 2027. It reported "very little variance" across those summer months.
Our math: five nights in that Duo Studio comes to about $2,525 before tax. Add the roughly 12.5% hotel tax MouseSavers uses for Disney World stays, and it's closer to $2,840. That's before park tickets, food or a single Mickey bar.
Lakeshore Lodge is a Disney Vacation Club resort on Bay Lake, between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge. Cash reservations opened to everyone Oct. 8, after DVC members and annual passholders got first dibs Oct. 6 and 7.

How much does Lakeshore Lodge cost in summer 2027?

DVC Shop's list of starting rates runs a little higher in spots, like $512 for the Duo Studio, because prices shift by travel date and number of guests. The top of the line, the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite, starts at $2,976 a night, DVC Shop reported.
How does Lakeshore Lodge compare to other Disney World resorts?
Disney Tourist Blog said Lakeshore's rates sit just above Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's cheaper than comparable rooms at Riviera, the Polynesian's Island Tower and the Grand Floridian, often by hundreds of dollars a night.
DVC Fan priced other resorts for the same July 1, 2027, opening date. Here's how they stack up against Lakeshore's summer rates:
Riviera tower studio: $612, vs. about $505 for Lakeshore's Duo Studio

Our math: picking Lakeshore's Duo Studio over a Riviera tower studio saves about $107 a night, or roughly $535 over five nights. That's a lot of Dole Whip.
Rates come from different outlets and can change by date, so price your own dates before you book.
What is Disney's Lakeshore Lodge?
It's Disney World's newest Disney Vacation Club resort, in the Magic Kingdom resort area on Bay Lake. Each room type has its own Disney movie theme, according to Disney's official page:
Pocahontas: Resort Studios and the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite
Encanto: Duo Studios
Bambi: Deluxe Studios and the one- and two-bedroom villas
Fantasia: the three-bedroom Grand Villas
Brother Bear: the freestanding A-frame Lake Houses
The pool area, called The Wetlands, has the Lakeshore Lagoon pool with a spiral waterslide and the Daydream River lazy river. Dining includes Moonglade, Paint Out Point Bar & Grill and the Bay Lake Provisions marketplace. Dandelion Terrace is set up for Magic Kingdom fireworks.
How do you get from Lakeshore Lodge to Magic Kingdom?
By boat. Disney lists a free water taxi to Magic Kingdom, plus free buses to the other parks, the water parks and Disney Springs. Minnie Vans are available for an extra fee.
Driving? Self-parking is free for overnight resort guests, and valet costs $42 a night plus tax.
Should you book Lakeshore Lodge now or wait?
Disney Tourist Blog's Tom Bricker suggested waiting, betting deeper discounts will show up for the new resort. Disney hasn't announced any.
If you do book, a few tips:
Price exact dates. DVC Shop noted rates vary by date and by how many guests are in the room.
Watch the view categories. In the rates above, a premium view adds about $117 to $337 a night over a resort view.
Compare with Wilderness Lodge. It's next door, and Disney Tourist Blog found it usually runs a bit cheaper.
Lakeshore Lodge leans hard on Encanto in its Duo Studios. So, about that summer bill: we don't talk about it.
