Mickey & Minnie's Vacation Fun will close at 3 p.m. on all 15 Jollywood Nights dates, four hours before Hollywood Studios closes to day guests. Glisten! also got two new side stages.
Mickey & Minnie's Vacation Fun is staying open during Disney Jollywood Nights this year. It's just clocking out early.
The cartoon at the Mickey Shorts Theater in Disney's Hollywood Studios will close at 3 p.m. on party dates, starting with tonight's opener, Saturday, Nov. 7, WDW News Today and BlogMickey reported Saturday morning. Regular hours return the next day.
That's four hours before the park closes to day guests at 7 p.m. on event nights. BlogMickey said the show normally runs until 8 p.m. Across all 15 party dates, our math comes to 60 hours of park time without the cartoon.
It's still an upgrade. Last year, Vacation Fun closed Oct. 20, 2025, and didn't reopen until Dec. 27, so it sat out the whole Jollywood season while its exit area sold party merchandise.
Disney hasn't said why it closes early. WDWNT said the theater was expected to be a Jollywood merch spot again and is "likely still being used in some capacity." BlogMickey guessed the 3 p.m. close gives cast members time to turn the post-show photo area into a shop. Neither is confirmed.
Over on Hollywood Boulevard, Glisten!, the Jollywood skating show, starts its third season tonight with two new side stages, one at each end of the rink, BlogMickey reported.
Here's a look at Glisten! from last year's Jollywood Nights:
When does Vacation Fun close on Jollywood Nights?
At 3 p.m. on every party date, per BlogMickey's schedule. Here are all 15:
November: 7, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28
December: 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 23
January: 3, 5
On other days, it follows its regular schedule in the My Disney Experience app, WDWNT said.
It's been a bumpy fall for the little theater. The app showed Vacation Fun closing Oct. 28, and WDWNT said the expectation was a closure until early January. It never closed. We covered that reversal in "Darth Vader moves at Hollywood Studios as Vacation Fun stays open" on Oct. 29.
Before that, it closed Aug. 9 so Annual Passholders could pick up a Kermit the Frog magnet there, and it didn't reopen until Sept. 27, BlogMickey noted.
One tip for day guests: on Oct. 29, WDWNT saw cast members sending guests out through the theater's entrance instead of the usual exit, where the Potatoland photo ops are. If those photos matter to you, go early.
What's new with Glisten at Jollywood Nights 2026?
The side stages. BlogMickey described each one as a curved platform at plaza level with blue-and-white wave skirting, connected to the main stage by a walkway.
Each has LED light bars, a tall blue panel with a cream snowflake cutout, a light-filled truss tower and three moving lights. At least one platform has a taped X on it, the kind performers use to hit their mark.
BlogMickey guessed the side stages are for characters. Disney hasn't said. It has confirmed that Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Genie join the show for the first time this year, the Disney Parks Blog said in October.
Will they skate? BlogMickey has doubts, pointing to falls it saw in past seasons. Genie has phenomenal cosmic power. Balance on blades is a separate wish.
The rink sits in front of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway at the Chinese Theater. It isn't real ice. WDWNT said the surface is synthetic polymer, though skaters still wear metal-bladed figure skates. BlogMickey couldn't tell whether the surface changed, since a Glisten! tarp still covered it.
Disney hadn't posted Glisten! showtimes as of Oct. 30, BlogMickey said. Check the app tonight.
What happens to Glisten if it rains?
Some or all Glisten! shows may be canceled under the event's bad-weather plan, WDWNT reported Nov. 3. Disney adds midnight showings of Disney Holidays in Hollywood and a character stop inside The Magic of Disney Animation instead.
Can you still buy Jollywood Nights tickets?
Not for tonight. Nov. 7, Nov. 14 and Nov. 28 are sold out, WDWNT reported Nov. 4.
Other dates run $169 to $199 plus tax, depending on the night. Nov. 16 is the cheapest at $169. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members get discounts.
Party guests can enter at 5:30 p.m., and the event runs 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. It wraps up Jan. 5, 2027, the first season to stretch into January.
