Carla Jeffery, who played Bree across Disney’s Zombies franchise, has died at 33.
She died on September 1, 2026, according to a statement shared to her official Instagram by Carla Alexander of Alexanders Talent Management.
Details about her death have not been released.
Her management company signed her at 12
The statement described a relationship that spanned most of Jeffery’s life.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old,” Alexander wrote.
“Carla joined the Alexanders Talent Management family at the age of 12,” she continued. “For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room.”
Alexander said Jeffery was “more than a client; she was family,” and asked that her loved ones be given privacy.
“Rest beautifully, Carla,” the statement closed. “Your light will never be forgotten.”
Her Zombies co-stars responded
Cast members from the franchise filled the comments on the post.
Milo Manheim, who starred opposite her as Zed across all three films, wrote: “Carla. The sweetest person I have ever met. I love you.”
Chandler Kinney, who appeared with her in Zombies 2 and Zombies 3, wrote: “the brightest shining light in any room she walked into. the kindest person you’d ever meet. the most beautiful soul. this doesn’t feel real.”
Zombies
Jeffery joined the Disney Channel Originals Zombies franchise with the first film in 2018, playing Bree, one of the Seabrook cheerleaders and Addison’s best friend.
She returned for Zombies 2 and Zombies 3, and voiced the character in several of the franchise’s animated Zombies shorts.
The films became one of Disney Channel’s most durable properties, spawning sequels, spinoffs, and a soundtrack catalog with a following well beyond the channel’s usual audience. Jeffery attended the world premiere of Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
She had been working since she was 13
Jeffery was born in Houston, Texas, on July 10, 1993.
Her first film role came in 2006’s Phat Girlz, when she was 13. She appeared on Nickelodeon’s iCarly in 2008 and played Keysha Black on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Disney Channel came next. She appeared on Good Luck Charlie in 2011 and Shake It Up the following year, before roles on Scream Queens and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
