Disneyland's Downtown Disney District gets snow every 40 minutes from 6 to 10 p.m. starting Nov. 13, and Cars Land at Disney California Adventure already has its Christmas look.
Snow is coming back to Disneyland's Downtown Disney District on Nov. 13. It falls seven times a night, every 40 minutes from 6 to 10 p.m., on the lawn by the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage.
That's a little less often than when the snow debuted in 2023. Back then it fell every half hour, nine times a night, in a different spot.
The snowfall runs nightly through Jan. 6, 2027, the last day of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, Mickey Visit reported. On certain nights, carolers sing during the snowfall. You don't need a park ticket for any of it.
Holiday decor is already going up around the resort, too. Cars Land at Disney California Adventure has its Christmas look, WDW News Today reported Tuesday.
Here's a look at the Downtown Disney snowfall:
What time does it snow at Downtown Disney?
Every night from Nov. 13 to Jan. 6, snow falls at 6, 6:40, 7:20, 8, 8:40, 9:20 and 10 p.m.
Those are the same times Downtown Disney used last season, Secret Los Angeles reported in 2025. It's Anaheim, so this is the light, decorative kind of snow. Nobody's building a snowman.
Where does the snow fall at Downtown Disney?
On the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage and lawn, at the west end of the district, according to Disneyland's holiday fact sheet. The stage also hosts nightly performances, from holiday music to DJs and bands, the Disney Parks Blog says.
How much is Chip and Dale's Ornament Trail?
$11.99 plus tax for a map and stickers. The trail runs Nov. 13 to Jan. 6, or while supplies last, according to Disneyland's event page.
You hunt for hidden character ornaments on the holiday trees around Downtown Disney and add a matching sticker to your map for each one you find. Turn in the map at World of Disney or Disney's Pin Traders for a holiday keepsake.
You get the keepsake even if you skip the hunt. So it's a $12 souvenir with optional cardio. It's one per map, purchase limits apply, and Disney hasn't shown the keepsake yet.
Maps are sold at:
Downtown Disney: World of Disney, Disney's Pin Traders, WonderGround Gallery, Disney Home and Disney Storyland Boutique
Hotels: STOR-E at Pixar Place Hotel, Disney's Fantasia Shop at the Disneyland Hotel and Acorns Gifts & Goods at the Grand Californian
What's new in Downtown Disney's holiday decor?
New this year, oversized light boxes and holiday icons frame the "Downtown Disney" letters at the Disneyland Hotel security entrance, Mickey Visit reported.
Other scenes to look for:
Poppy Fountain, across from World of Disney: Mickey, Goofy and Donald statues decorating a tree
Near Lululemon: Anna, Elsa and Olaf statues in their Frozen 2 outfits, with birch trees and snow drifts
Around the district: lit-up snowflakes, toy soldiers, trees and wrapped presents
Is there a breakfast with Santa at Downtown Disney?
Yes. Naples Ristorante e Bar hosts Breakfast with Santa on select days in November and December. It costs $110 for adults and $55 for kids 3 to 10, plus tax and service charges. Kids 2 and under eat free.
You get a family-style breakfast, hot cocoa, a visit and photo with Santa, plus carolers. Guests 21 and up get bottomless mimosas. Kids 10 and under go home with a stuffed animal and a personalized stocking. Book through Naples' Tock page for parties of 2 to 10.
Is Cars Land decorated for Christmas?
Yes. WDW News Today spotted garland strung between Radiator Springs' wooden utility poles, with colorful lights, oversized ornaments and "Happy Holidays" wreaths.
The Cozy Cone Motel has garlands, and nearby posters advertise fake holiday movies: "Snowy," "The Tugnuttercracker," "Coolant Runnings" and "The Santa Clutch." Mater's Junkyard Jamboree has a Santa hat on its sign.
Next door in Grizzly Peak, the giant bear outside Grizzly River Run is wearing a red holiday sweater.
Starting Nov. 13, Mater's Jingle Jamboree and Luigi's Joy to the Whirl return with holiday music. Disney's holiday guide says the holiday lights come to life at sunset during Cars Land's "Sh-boom" moment, too.
When did it start snowing at Downtown Disney?
Snow first fell in Downtown Disney on Nov. 24, 2023, Laughing Place reported. Back then, it fell between Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill and Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes.
It has since moved to the LIVE! Stage lawn, and the snow now starts earlier in November. Disneyland park has had its own nightly snow for years, and Sleeping Beauty Castle's snowy look went up back in October.
Snow in Southern California, on a schedule, with no shoveling. Hard to beat.
