Keurig Dr Pepper’s 2027 lineup includes a permanent Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float in February, a limited 7UP Miami Vice in June and the return of 7UP Shirley Temple for the holidays.
Dr Pepper is bottling the ice cream float.
Keurig Dr Pepper laid out its 2027 drinks on Monday, Oct. 5, ahead of the NACS Show, the big convenience store trade show in Las Vegas. The headliner is Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float, in regular and zero sugar.
And it’s sticking around. Keurig Dr Pepper says it’s a permanent, nationwide flavor.
When does Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float come out?
February 2027, in cans and 20-ounce bottles. Fountain and frozen versions follow around the middle of the year.
Food site Sporked reported the flavor back in September, with a target date of Feb. 17.
Didn’t Dr Pepper float ice cream already exist?
It did, just in the other direction. Back in 2023, Blue Bell put out a Dr Pepper Float ice cream, and local TV stations lined up for taste tests.
So first the soda became ice cream. Now the ice cream float becomes a soda. It’s been a fun few years for anyone who loves a root beer float but secretly wishes it were Dr Pepper.
Dr Pepper has leaned creamy for a while now. It’s already done Cream Soda, Strawberries and Cream, and Creamy Coconut.
What is 7UP Miami Vice?
It’s a limited-time 7UP, in regular and zero sugar, coming in June 2027.
Keurig Dr Pepper didn’t spell out the flavor. The cocktail it’s named after is half strawberry daiquiri and half pina colada, poured side by side, so expect that kind of beach-bar vibe. A June launch for a frozen-drink flavor makes sense.
Food leaker Markie Devo posted the lineup on X on Monday, and his list matched Keurig Dr Pepper’s.
Is 7UP Shirley Temple coming back?
Yes. 7UP Shirley Temple returns for the 2027 holiday season, in regular and zero sugar, with a new 20-ounce bottle.
If you never ordered one as a kid, a Shirley Temple is lemon-lime soda or ginger ale with grenadine and a maraschino cherry. It’s the original kids’ table mocktail.
What other new drinks is Keurig Dr Pepper launching in 2027?
A lot, especially in energy drinks:
Canada Dry Raspberry Lemonade, a seasonal flavor for spring 2027
A refreshed Sunkist recipe with new graphics, early in 2027
GHOST Energy x 7UP and GHOST Energy x A&W, both going permanent after limited runs in 2026
GHOST Energy Sour Strips Appleberry in January, plus a limited Blueberry Cream
Bloom Energy in Strawberry Shortie this month, then Cotton Candy and Lemon Freezie in January
C4 Energy Cocoa Loco, plus cereal-themed mini cans: Cereal Killer, Jacked Apple Crunch and Buzzin’ Honey O’s
Cereal-flavored energy drinks. Breakfast in a can, apparently.
Why did Keurig Dr Pepper announce its 2027 drinks so early?
The NACS Show is where drink companies pitch convenience stores on what’s coming. Store buyers plan shelf space months out, so these announcements land long before the drinks do.
“Beverages are one of the strongest drivers of traffic and basket growth for convenience retailers, and innovation is what keeps shoppers engaged,” said Jeff Tabor, Keurig Dr Pepper’s chief customer officer.
In plain English: new flavors get people into gas stations, and once they’re in, they buy snacks.
So the Ice Cream Float is about four months out. The Miami Vice is closer to eight, which is a long time to think about a soda.
