Dreamlight Valley teases Oogie Boogie, Lilo, Hannah Montana, and Jack Sparrow at D23
Gameloft revealed the next wave of Disney Dreamlight Valley content at a D23 panel Friday: Oogie Boogie and Lilo join for free later this year, Jack Sparrow headlines a new underwater expansion, and a rare live-action Disney Channel drop brings Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire.
Disney Dreamlight Valley just laid out its next several months, and the lineup runs from a boogeyman to a pirate to Hannah Montana.
Gameloft revealed the game’s upcoming content during a livestreamed D23 panel on Friday, “Your Dream, Your Valley.” After walking through the life-sim’s history, the team closed the panel with a stack of new characters, cosmetics, and a fresh paid expansion landing across the back half of 2026.
Here’s everything coming, and the one addition that’s a bigger deal than it looks.
Oogie Boogie and Lilo are joining the Valley for free
Two free character updates anchor the news, and both come with a nice bit of reunion.
Oogie Boogie, the burlap sack of bugs from The Nightmare Before Christmas, debuts in September as part of a free update, alongside a new Halloween event with weekly quests and Nightmare Before Christmas-themed rewards. He joins Jack Skellington and Sally, who already live in the Valley, so the September update basically completes the Nightmare trio just in time for spooky season.
Then in December, Lilo from Lilo & Stitch arrives in another free update. That one lands emotionally, because Stitch has been a Valley resident since December 2022. So after nearly four years, the film’s two title characters finally get reunited inside the game.
That “finally” is a running theme for this game. Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph just joined in July, more than four years after he appeared in the game’s original 2022 announcement trailer and then vanished from the lineup. Gameloft is slowly clearing its backlog of promised faces.
Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire
A new Premium Shop collection inspired by Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire launches next week, letting players dress their avatars in outfits from the two Disney Channel series.
Here’s why that matters more than it sounds. Dreamlight Valley has almost always pulled from Disney and Pixar’s animated films for its characters, clothing, and furniture. Live-action Disney Channel properties have barely shown up. So a full collection built on two live-action 2000s sitcoms is a genuine first for the game, and a clear play for the millennials who grew up on the Disney Channel and now have the disposable income to buy nostalgia cosmetics. If it sells, expect more live-action Disney Channel stuff to follow.
Jack Sparrow headlines a new underwater expansion
The panel ended with a tease for the game’s next paid expansion, The Keepsake Sea, and it’s going somewhere the game hasn’t been.
The brief teaser dives into a new underwater realm, showing what looks like a player character transformed into a mermaid, swimming through a seascape. Then came the surprise: Captain Jack Sparrow, teasing that Pirates of the Caribbean content will factor into the expansion, with undersea exploration as a likely centerpiece.
This continues Gameloft’s two-track model, big paid expansions running alongside the free character updates. The Keepsake Sea follows previous paid expansions A Rift in Time, The Storybook Vale, and Wishblossom Ranch. No release date was announced for it.
A free D23 jacket code for players
One practical bonus for anyone who plays: Gameloft dropped a redeemable code during the panel for a glow-in-the-dark D23 varsity jacket.
The case-sensitive code is DDVD23PANELGIFT. Players can redeem it, while it’s still active, through the settings tab on the pause menu under the “Help” section, and the jacket lands in your in-game closet.
Why this fits Disney’s bigger game push
The timing of a stacked Dreamlight Valley panel isn’t a coincidence, and it lines up with what Disney’s been saying all week.
Disney just spent its D23 stretch making the case that games are central to its future, calling out its nine billion-dollar gaming franchises and its push to reach younger players where they hang out. Dreamlight Valley, a cozy life-sim stuffed with Disney characters that’s been running since 2022, is exactly the kind of low-pressure entry point that strategy is built on. A kid who’s never seen Lilo & Stitch might meet Lilo here first.
So the Valley keeps growing, one nostalgic drop at a time. Oogie Boogie for the Halloween crowd, Lilo for the reunion, Hannah Montana for the millennials, and Jack Sparrow steering the whole thing underwater. Something for everyone who ever loved a Disney anything, which is precisely the point.
