The Texas trick-shot crew signed a creative partnership with Disney, with Super Bowl LXI, Star Wars’ 50th anniversary and Avengers: Doomsday videos planned over the next year.
Dude Perfect is officially part of the Disney family.
Disney and the trick-shot crew announced a company-wide creative partnership on Thursday, Oct. 15. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news first.
Dude Perfect will make new videos inspired by Disney franchises and events for its own channels. Some of them will stream on Disney+, according to Disney’s announcement.
Disney also gets a selection of Dude Perfect’s existing short videos to run on Disney+, ESPN, and Disney’s social accounts.
This is probably the video that got the ball rolling. Last year, the guys tried to visit every Disney park on Earth in 75 hours.
However, they were accused of “cheating” by using Disney perks to skip lines and move through the parks faster. Disney was perceived by some fans as helping the YouTubers for a publicity stunt.
Now they get a deal with Disney. Eyebrows will likely raise once again.
What’s in the Dude Perfect Disney deal?
Disney named three big events for the next year:
Super Bowl LXI, which airs on ABC and ESPN
The 50th anniversary of Star Wars
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday, including Avengers-themed content for Dude Perfect’s series Overtime
Disney didn’t share any money figures or say how long the deal runs. It described the plans as collaborations “over the next year.”
The first piece may already be out. Dude Perfect posted a 45-second YouTube Short called “Disney’s Rarest Mystery Box” on Oct. 15. It’s marked as an ad, and the description says Disney sent the guys its rarest mystery box.
What did Disney and Dude Perfect say about the deal?
Asad Ayaz is Disney’s chief marketing and brand officer. “Disney has always been a place where great storytellers come to create,” he said in the announcement.
Ayaz added that the deal gives fans “even more ways to experience and be part of the Disney stories they love.” That’s corporate for more trick shots with lightsabers, probably.
Dude Perfect co-founder Garrett Hilbert made it sound personal.
“Disney taught us to go big and dream, and that has shaped everything we’ve built,” Hilbert said.
Did Dude Perfect visit every Disney park in 75 hours?
They tried, and it worked out pretty well for both sides. Last year, Dude Perfect took on all 12 Disney parks around the world in under 75 hours, according to Disney.
The video pulled in more than 13 million views in its first 24 hours and helped raise more than $1.2 million for Make-A-Wish, Disney said.
That’s a lot of airport time. Disney’s 12 parks are spread across Florida, California, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The video, posted Oct. 4, 2025, runs about 28 minutes. It has passed 13.3 million views on YouTube, so Disney already knows what the guys can do with a park map and a stopwatch.
Who is Dude Perfect?
A group of friends who started filming trick shots at Texas A&M University 17 years ago, Tubefilter noted. The crew is Tyler Toney, twins Coby and Cory Cotton, Garrett Hilbert and Cody Jones.
Today the company is based in Frisco, Texas, and it’s much bigger than backyard basketball shots. Dude Perfect has 130 million followers and more than 22 billion lifetime views, according to Disney.
It also runs live tours, the Almost Athletes podcast and a line of consumer products.
When is Super Bowl LXI on ESPN and Disney+?
In February 2027, with ABC and ESPN airing the game. We reported earlier this month that the game will also stream on Disney+, so a Dude Perfect tie-in could put the guys in front of a huge audience.
Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters Dec. 18, and Star Wars turns 50 on May 25, 2027. Expect Dude Perfect videos around all three.
Is Disney signing other YouTube creators?
It’s been busy. Disney hosted about 350 creators in Hollywood in September, and Disney’s Dana Walden talked up team-ups at that event, as we reported then.
Tubefilter also pointed to Disney’s earlier pact with creator Dhar Mann. Dude Perfect is one of the biggest names yet, though, and its plan already includes Star Wars and the Avengers.
So the next time a lightsaber or a Captain America shield shows up in a trick shot, you’ll know why.
