Dancing with the Stars sent home two couples on Horror Movie Night. Tyler Cameron and Jackson Olson were eliminated as Harry Shum Jr. earned the season’s first perfect score.
Horror Movie Night on Dancing with the Stars ended with two couples saying goodbye.
Tyler Cameron and pro Sharna Burgess, plus Jackson Olson and pro Emma Slater, were eliminated in a double elimination on Tuesday, Oct. 27, according to TheWrap and DK Network. The show streams live on Disney+ and airs on ABC.
The results combined judges’ scores and fan votes from both Dedication Night and Horror Movie Night.
Why was there a double elimination on DWTS?
Nobody went home last week. The show skipped the elimination on Dedication Night on Oct. 20, so those scores and votes carried over into this week, according to ABC30 and the Arizona Republic.
That meant two couples had to leave on Horror Movie Night.
What were the combined DWTS scores for Weeks 6 and 7?
Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson led with 76 out of 80, according to TheWrap. The full two-week leaderboard:
Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson: 76 (36 + 40)
Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy: 74 (37 + 37)
Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov: 74 (38 + 36)
Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach: 72 (37 + 35)
Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold: 69 (32 + 37)
Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas: 67 (35 + 32)
Jackson Olson and Emma Slater: 67 (32 + 35)
Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa: 62 (36 + 26)
Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik: 60 (32 + 28)
Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess: 58 (32 + 26)
Jackson Olson went home despite outscoring three couples, which shows how much fan votes matter.
Who got a perfect score on Horror Movie Night?
Harry Shum Jr. He and Jenna Johnson earned straight 10s for a contemporary routine inspired by Saw and set to “Toxic,” for a 40 out of 40. It was the season’s first perfect score, TheWrap reported.
Guest judge Shirley Ballas said she didn’t think she’d “ever seen anything quite like that.”
What did everyone else score tonight?
Here’s how the rest of the night went, out of 40:
Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy scored 37 for a zombie-themed Argentine tango inspired by 28 Weeks Later. Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold also got 37 for a contemporary dance to “You Are My Sunshine” inspired by Annabelle: Creation. Wood earned his first 10s of the season.
Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov scored 36 for an Argentine tango tied to Black Swan. Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach (jazz) and Jackson Olson and Emma Slater (contemporary) each scored 35.
Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas earned 32 for a contemporary routine. Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik scored 28 for a paso doble inspired by Sinners.
Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa and Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess tied at the bottom with 26. Stiles danced an Argentine tango inspired by The Omen, and Cameron danced a Viennese waltz.
Why did Julia Stiles score so low?
Shirley Ballas gave her a 4, her lowest score of the competition so far, according to TheWrap. Judge Derek Hough called it her “worst dance of the season.” Tatyana Ali also got a 4 from Ballas.
Stiles survived anyway, likely thanks to her strong Week 6 score of 36.
