“Happy Hell-o-ween” streams Monday, Oct. 5, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. Kieran Culkin voices the Devil, and Brian and Stewie end up running the underworld. It’s Hulu’s third year of Family Guy specials.
Brian and Stewie have done a lot of terrible things in 24 seasons. Now they’re paying for it.
Family Guy has a new Halloween special, “Happy Hell-o-ween,” streaming Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, on Hulu, per Laughing Place and Bloody Disgusting. Bundle subscribers can also watch it through Hulu on Disney+, per MickeyBlog.
It’s a Hulu exclusive, separate from the show’s regular Fox season.
What happens in Family Guy’s Happy Hell-o-ween?
Brian and Stewie die and end up in the actual underworld to pay for “24 seasons’ worth of bad behavior.”
Then things get very Family Guy. They manage to annoy the Devil himself, and before long, they’re running hell.
A sneak peek showed the two dying in the special, per CBR. So, yes, the headline is a spoiler, but the trailer spoiled it first.
Who voices the Devil in Family Guy’s Halloween special?
Kieran Culkin.
Culkin won an Oscar for A Real Pain and an Emmy for Succession, where he played Roman Roy. Roman would probably have a few notes on how to run hell, too.
There’s a fun Disney connection here. As a kid, Culkin played Fuller, the cousin who drinks too much Pepsi, in Home Alone, alongside his brother Macaulay. Home Alone was a 20th Century Fox movie, so it’s part of the Disney library now, just like Family Guy.
How do you watch Family Guy’s Halloween special?
Stream it on Hulu starting Oct. 5. If you have the Disney+ and Hulu bundle, you can find it through Hulu inside the Disney+ app, per MickeyBlog.
It won’t air on Fox first. These specials are made for Hulu.
Hulu has been folding into Disney+ during 2026. If you can’t find the standalone Hulu app on your TV, look for the Hulu section in Disney+.
Has Family Guy done Hulu specials before?
Yes. This is the third straight year Hulu has released exclusive Family Guy holiday specials, per Laughing Place.
The first round came in 2024: a Halloween special, “Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Cheater,” and a Christmas special, “Gift of the White Guy.”
There’s another one coming this year too. A winter special called “The Peter Clause” follows “Happy Hell-o-ween,” per Laughing Place.
What are the best Family Guy Halloween episodes?
The show has a long spooky history. Over the years, it has done Halloween episodes like “Halloween on Spooner Street” and parodies like “Petergeist,” a riff on Poltergeist, per Bloody Disgusting.
If you want a Family Guy Halloween marathon before Oct. 5, the older episodes stream on Hulu too.
Is Family Guy owned by Disney?
Yes, indirectly. Family Guy comes from 20th Television Animation, which Disney got when it bought most of 21st Century Fox in 2019. The show still airs new episodes on Fox, but its streaming home is Hulu.
That’s part of why Hulu gets these exclusive specials, and why Seth MacFarlane’s show now technically shares a corporate family with Mickey Mouse. Stewie would hate that.
When did Family Guy start?
Family Guy premiered on Fox in January 1999, right after the Super Bowl. Fox canceled it in 2002, then brought it back in 2005 after strong DVD sales and reruns.
Twenty-seven years later, Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris, Stewie and Brian are still going, and the Hulu specials have turned into a yearly tradition on top of the regular season.
Even hell can’t stop them.
