First Image of Harry Potter For HBO+ Show
HBO has released a first look at their new Harry Potter (Dominic McLaughlin) during the shoot for its new “Harry Potter” series.
Along with the photo, HBO announced,
Production has commenced on the HBO Original Harry Potter television series at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, UK. The series will debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max where it’s available, including in upcoming launch markets Germany, Italy, and the UK.
It has begun. Many are divided on the new show, with the casting of Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape being a key issue. Warner Bros claimed that the show would follow the books closely, but with this casting change, that may not be the case.
However, Dominic McLaughlin does look the part of the boy who lived.
Rounding out the trio is Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alistair Stout as Ron Weasley. Lox Pratt will play Draco Malfoy.
The new “Harry Potter” show is being written and executive-produced by Francesca Gardiner. Warner Bros. Television and Brontë Film and TV are producing the series.
J.K. Rowling is an executive producer for the film, but she doesn’t have much input into casting or other decisions (according to her.)
