Florida Man Pays Almost $1400 For One Day At Walt Disney World
Family of 5 pays visited on park and Disney Springs and paid $1,400.
Many have said that Walt Disney World is getting out of control with its pricing. Now, those same people are doubling after a new video circulating on TikTok and X shows one family of five paying almost $1,400 for ONE DAY at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Here is the video
I wondered if this trip included Lightning Lane passes, and the answer is no. They did not buy those.
The majority of the expense was simply getting into the park.
What did they spend the money on?
Parking - $30
Tickets to get into Hollywood Studios - $974.
Five tickets and parking put them over $1,000 at the start. That was with them being Florida residents and one child under 10.
The remaining expenses were tied to food -A quick-service meal in the park and then a table service meal at Disney Springs. Along with snacks and drinks throughout the day.
Water and Ice Cream - $29.50
Pretzel and Beer - $19.00
Quick Service Pizza, sides, and drink - $44.35
Blue Milk - $10.29 (Don’t waste your money. It’s gross.)
Star Wars Coke - $6.50
Churro, water, margarita - $36
Frontera Cocina Table Service in Disney Springs - $245.27
Ending at $1391.91
This visit did not count as travel to the parks or a stay at a Walt Disney World resort hotel in the total. That would have likely added hundreds to the total.
People are not surprise and many are asking if it is even worth it for the price.
Many of those commenting mention how overpriced one day at Disney is and some mention alternatives.
This is why Disney is losing the American family!
“I stopped at the tickets being almost $1,000, no point in watching the rest. Walt Disney would be rolling in hia grave.” -TTUVaper
“Yea I’d rather go to the beach, bbq and drink while the kids run back and forth from pool to ocean.” - Lizzlove
“was honestly expecting a higher cost for 5 people”- Bob_Harris
“I’m not spending thousands to sweat in Florida, dodge strollers, and pay $30 for a sad burger. Disney World is a scam for people who mistake exhaustion for fun.” - Bebe Childs
“$1400 for one day, not counting travel and hotel. You need to spend at least 2 to 3 days to make it worth it. Disney is for the rich people now. Need to do six flags or something else for the regular folks” - Marcus Matthews
“highlights the high cost of a Disney World trip for a family of 5, showing a video that totals the expenses at around $1,400 for a single day, including tickets, food, and other costs, but excluding accommodations.” -Mohini of Investing
“For the parents saying “that’s not bad”… please tell me what other family activity costs a casual $1500 for one freakin day…not to mention you spend half the day waiting in line to park, ride, and eat.” - TreeofLiberty1776
Others comment that the cost wasn’t terrible or could have been done better,
“As a Florida resident, he did this completely wrong and spent way too much. But that's how engagement works I guess.”- Critical
“$300/person for a full day at Disney, all rides, all expenses, all food (no one was left hungry here), doesn't sound that expensive to me tbh. Thats like one day of regular living for 2 people in Manhattan. Zero rides included, metrocard is extra.” - Strawberry Sith
“If you think this is bad you should see what it costs for a family of 5 to go to a patriots game lol.” - GuinnessStache
You can do this cheaper, but the cost of the tickets is still going to remain high. While you may be able to shave off food expenses by bringing food with you or eating less, the base price of almost $1k will remain.
Magic Kingdom would have cost even more.
