All seven seasons of Gilmore Girls stream on Hulu and Disney+. The 2016 revival, A Year in the Life, leaves Netflix worldwide on Nov. 25, 10 years to the day after it premiered there.
Stars Hollow has a Disney address, but the revival never moved in. All seven seasons of Gilmore Girls, 153 episodes, stream on Hulu, while Netflix pulls the four-part revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life worldwide on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
That date isn't random. A Year in the Life premiered on Netflix on Nov. 25, 2016. Netflix paid for a 10-year exclusive global streaming window, What's on Netflix reported, and that window closes exactly a decade later. The last day to watch is Tuesday, Nov. 24.
No new home has been announced. Warner Bros. Television co-produced the revival and owns the franchise, so What's on Netflix called HBO Max its "natural home." Nothing is official yet.
Meanwhile, the indie documentary Drink Coffee, Talk Fast got a new trailer Friday, Nov. 6, as an Entertainment Weekly exclusive. It premieres Nov. 13 in Los Angeles. More on that below.
When did Gilmore Girls come to Hulu?
Almost two years ago. Hulu added the complete original series at midnight PT on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, The Hollywood Reporter reported. It was a nonexclusive deal, so the show stayed on Netflix at the time.
Hulu also built a holiday collection of Christmas-adjacent episodes back then, including "Rory's Dance" and "The Bracebridge Dinner," Laughing Place reported. Hulu's Gilmore Girls page still lists all seven seasons and 153 episodes.
Is Gilmore Girls on Disney+?
Yes, for subscribers who get Hulu in the Disney+ app. Disney+ has its own Gilmore Girls page listing seven seasons, and Showbiz Cheat Sheet reported the show has been on both Hulu and Disney+ since December 2024.
Disney+ notes that only "select Hulu content" is available in its app. Gilmore Girls made the cut.
It's also on Prime Video in the U.S. Cheat Sheet reported it landed there July 1, 2026, the day it went dark on Netflix. HBO Max doesn't carry the original series in the U.S., What's on Netflix reported.
When did Gilmore Girls leave Netflix?
The original seven seasons left Netflix in the U.S. on June 30, 2026. Netflix announced it on X on June 15, saying it was "sorry to say" the show was going.
It didn't leave everywhere. Netflix told What's on Netflix the series would stay in many international regions "for the foreseeable future." Neither Netflix nor the outlet named every country that lost it.
Cheat Sheet, citing Deadline, reported that Netflix and Warner Bros. didn't reach a new licensing deal.
Where can I watch Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life?
On Netflix, through Nov. 24. After that, there's no announced streaming home. Netflix confirmed the removal for the U.S. and all global regions, Netflix Life reported.
If you'd rather own it, the revival is on DVD and Blu-ray, including in the complete series Blu-ray box set, Netflix Life noted. Coffee not included.
What is the Drink Coffee, Talk Fast documentary?
An independent documentary from Ink On Paper Studios, partly funded through Kickstarter, for the show's 25th anniversary. Meghna Balakumar, Kevin Konrad Hanna and Jim Demonakos made it. It isn't affiliated with Warner Bros. or the show's producers, People reported in 2025.
It premieres Friday, Nov. 13, at the Palace Theatre in Los Angeles, EW reported. No streaming platform or wider release date has been announced. Ink On Paper Studios' website is the place to watch for updates.
Jared Padalecki, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Chad Michael Murray and Keiko Agena all sit down for it, EW reported. Patterson, who played Luke, is also a producer on the film. Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel aren't in it.
Padalecki, who played Dean, admits he "certainly had a crush" on Graham. He also recalls "18 hour days on the reg." Bishop, aka Emily Gilmore, says "the Hartford group got along great," then adds: "I guess there were problems in Stars Hollow." Very Emily.
Is there an official Gilmore Girls documentary?
Yes, and it's a different one. HBO Max announced the first authorized Gilmore Girls documentary in August, TheWrap reported. Bonni Cohen directs, and creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino are involved, along with Graham.
It promises "never-before-seen outtakes, behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive script pages." It doesn't have a title or a date yet.
Graham said in 2025 that she doesn't do anything "the creator of my show isn't a part of," Parade reported. That explains which doc she picked.
Graham and Sherman-Palladino are also writing a Gilmore Girls book, due in fall 2027, EW reported.
